➳ Adventure #3: Part 1: "old friends and new friends unite"

Surprise! I decided to update 2 days earlier.

1.

"You look much better." I told Kayla on Monday morning when my mother dropped me off at school and Kayla was waiting for me by the front doors.

"Feel much better too." She said.

"It's good having you back." I said as we walked up the steps and into the school.

"I never thought I would say this but it feels great being back in school. I haven't gone out in almost two weeks. I've been going crazy!"

"At least you're caught up on most of the work." I said.

Our school provides online classes to students who are going to be absent for awhile. It makes it much easier for them when they go back to school and it makes it easier for their teachers to catch them up on the work they missed.

"So how have your lunch breaks at the library been?" Kayla asked.

Kayla doesn't know I've been hanging out with Bobby and his friends for almost two weeks now. How do I tell her I'm buddies with the people I used to say where horrible. I mean they are idiots but they're quite nice idiots and I did judge them before I actually knew them.

"Umm...good." I said.

We reached the hallway where out lockers were located at Kayla walkes over to hers which was a few to mine left. I unlocked my locker and quickly grabbed what I needed. I closed it and let out a small squeak of surprise when I saw someone standing next to me.

Felix laughed. "Works every time." He said.

"I told you guys to stop sneaking up on me!" I said hitting him with one of my books.

"That's not going to happen." He said still laughing then looked over my shoulder and leaned in and whispered. "Your friend Kayla looks like her her jaw is going to fall off."

I turned and looked at Kayla who's mouth was hanging open and was staring at Felix and I like we were ghosts.

"I kindda hadn't told her about us." I said.

"You're dating Felix?" Kayla asked shocked.

"Dating? No. Friends? Yeah." I said. "I kind of became friends with all of Bobby's friends in the time you and Harvey were missing from school."

"Does Harvey know?" Kayla asked.

"Yeah." I said.

"So I'm the last one?" She asked.

"Sorry."

"It's fine."

"I'm Felix." Felix said introducing himself even though Kayla already knew who he was.

"Where are the others?" I asked him looking over my shoulder to make sure they weren't going to try and sneak up on me too.

"Allister and Sutter are running late. Gideon is on his way and Gunter doesn't have a first period anymore so he's baking you something for lunch."

Ever since I tried Gunter's cookies that first day I sat with them he brings me something whenever he bakes and asks me for my opinion on it. He gets so happy and adorable when I tell him his food is delicious.

"What about Bobby?" I asked.

"I'm right here." Someone whispered in my ear startling me and making me let out a small sqeak.

I turned and punched Bobby who was laughing.

"That was not funny!" I said then turned to Felix and Kayla who were laughing as well. "And you two saw him and didn't warn me?"
