Peer Tutoring

*Sokka POV*

So, there are two grade 11s in this grade nine class. And Aang is in it. When he gets to the door and sees me, he looks confused.
"Sokka? I must be in the wrong class. You're in grade 11? I'll go find the other gym," He's about to turn heel, but I run up and grab him.
"Wait Aang. You're in the right gym. I'm in some sort of older student program thing. What did you call it Mr. Piandao,"
"I didn't actually tell you the name. Principal Iroh is thinking of calling it Peer Tutoring, though the name isn't official," Mr. Piandao responds.
"Oh! Okay. Is this normal? Cause we didn't have this sort of thing at the Southern Air Temple," Aang replies. I notice Piandao perk up at the mention of the temple.
"So you're the Air Nomad that's at the school. I've always wanted to visit one of the temples,"
"Well, I'm sorry to inform you that you won't find much more than ash there anymore," Aang looks a little pissed but doesn't show it, almost acting sorry for Piandao. He couldn't have chosen a much worse time to ask about that.
"Oh, right. I heard about the fires. I'm sorry you lost your home," Nice return sir. Good job. 
"So Aang, do you have a favourite physical activity? I'm not saying sport, because sometimes people don't like sports,"
"Running is fun. But I guess I can't use airbending to make it easy for class. I can run without bending, but it's more fun when I can," we continue talking about sports and activities we enjoy when the door gets practically knocked down.

"Twinkle Toes, you better have a really good excuse for making me explain why you weren't at class," Toph, right? She's scary.
"Umm, Sokka and I were talking? And the first day usually doesn't have too much going on?" Aang is scared of Toph, not that I blame him, but it's kinda funny.
"Oh, right. What happened at lunch. But don't you dare skip out on me next time," She punches Aang in the side. He groans. 
"Fine! I give you an airbender promise that I won't skip out on you," He lifts his hat and points to the arrow on his forehead. Piandao comes back from grabbing pylons. He looks at Aang and Toph, who are just sitting and talking now. He looks at Toph's eyes. Luckily, he gets saved by Suki walking in. She notices me and pulls me into a hug. We broke up like three months ago, and I'm still a little mad, but we can stay friends. I'll get over it. 
"Captain Boomerang, who's your girlfriend?" Aang punches her in the arm. "Geez, Twinkle Toes, you can punch harder than I would've thought,"
"We aren't dating anymore," Suki glares at Toph. Aang laughs. Suki moves her glare to him.
"Toph is super capable, so you wouldn't guess it, but she's blind. She doesn't know you're glaring at her," He giggles after he explains.
"You think I'm capable Twinkle Toes. AWWWW," Toph says mockingly.
"Oh, so you're the blind girl. Are you sure you can handle this class?" Piandao looks up from his clipboard.
"I may be blind, but I can still do anything these dunderheads can do, and more. Except maybe Twinkle Toes. He can airbend," She jabs her finger into Aang's side. He scowls but doesn't complain. 
"Are you sure?" Piandao is going to get himself murdered. She rockets him ten feet in the air with earthbending. Aang catches him with airbending. "I'll take that as a yes," Toph raises her hands in celebration.
"HURRAH! I don't have to explain again! I wish Twinkle Toes was in all my classes,"
"Why's that?" Suki asks.
"Because he's good luck," she says matter of factly.
"I am?" Aang looks bewildered.
"Yes, but only for me. Everyone else better get away from my good luck charm!" Toph grabs Aang and squeezes him. Aang just smiles and raises his hands. Nebula walked in at that moment. They saw Toph nearly strangling Aang and just shrugged. 
"Why are you trying to strangle Aang Toph," Toph scowls at them and squeezes Aang tighter.
"I'm not STRANGLING him Rockstar, he's my good luck charm and only mine!" 
"Basically what Toph is saying is that she doesn't have to educate people as to why her blindness doesn't make her less capable, and I so happened to be here, so I'm lucky. Also, Toph can't show affection without aggression," He grins at them. Suki just raises her eyebrows.
"Sokka and I were here too," She says.
"Yeah, and Aang is in all of your class. He's only in three of mine," Toph just squeezing Aang tighter.
"Just let her have this. And Toph, you're actually strangling me now," Toph lets go and everyone laughs. I think this year might turn out well.

A/N Yeah, no angst, minus Toph crushing Aang, but more is coming. Maybe. IDK. I don't have a plan. I'm just writing as this shit comes to me. Fuck planning. And fuck drawing hands. My PSA is to stop being jerks to nonbinary people. I have no clue. I hope you enjoyed my chaos.
