Hey! So this is going to be the Malec first kiss from shadowhunters, but with Klaine, because I have an unhealthy obsession with both shows and am seriously considering writing malec fanfic lmao. Also, I know I made Blaine's mom super nice in the last one but....

Kurt watched as Blaine walked out of the door of his apartment, a feeling of disappointment settling in his stomach. This was his last chance to try and change Blaine's mind and he had blown it, and now the boy was off to attend his own wedding with a women he didn't love.

Kurt wiped away a stray tear and sat at his kitchen table, thinking about just how the boy he had come to love was willingly walking towards a future that would make him miserable.

Blaine's parents were the heads of the local council, and upholding the perfect family image was very important to them. Unfortunately for Blaine, that image includes a straight son who is married to a well-off, well-connected and well-known woman. A woman who is better known as Quinn Fabray.

Blaine never intended to go ahead with his family's plan. He always knew that he would follow his heart and love who he loved, even if it meant breaking the hearts of some of the most important people in his life.

But then it happened. One day Blaine stumbled into his mother's office and saw her leaning over her desk, tears falling freely down her face.
"Mom? What's wrong?" he had asked worriedly.

Mrs Anderson then went on to explain that both her and her husband's positions in the council were in jeopardy, and unless the family image was restored in some way they would loose everything.

Well, that curveball sure as hell changed Blaine's fate. He had struggled with finding out exactly who he was for a very long time, but if it meant he could stop making his family suffer, he would do anything.

Quinn was surprised when he had proposed to say the least. As they had been friends since childhood, Quinn was one of the few people who Blaine had confided in about his sexuality, so she had never anticipated him actually getting down on one knee.

However, when she saw the almost pleading look in his eyes, Quinn accepted and got to planning right away.

Blaine and Quinn's parents were over the moon at the news. Kurt on the other hand, was devastated.

For the past few months, Blaine and Kurt had been flirting endlessly over bottomless cocktails in the wide open-planned living room of Kurt's Brooklyn apartment, and tonight, the night before the wedding was his final chance to help Blaine listen to his own heart.

And now, whilst pouring himself a drink, Kurt sighed in disappointment as he remembered what he had told Blaine before he had stormed out of the door.

"Why do you keep pushing? You're just confusing me." Blaine said in frustration.

"confusion is part of it. It's how you find out if something's there."

He moved closer to Blaine and began to slowly walk around him in a circle. "Emotions are never black and white. They're more like... Symptoms. You loose your breath whenever they enter a room. Your heart beats faster when they walk by. Your skin tingles, when they stand close enough to feel their breath."

Kurt sighed and moved so he was standing directly in front of the other boy. "I know you feel what I feel Blaine."

Blaine looked....angry? "You have no idea what I feel."  he said bluntly. "this is all just a game to you isn't it?  You flirt, you laugh, you dance around without caring, but at the end of the day what do you risk? even if...even if I did feel something for you, you want me to give up my life for you? I could loose my family, my career, my everything! I have to...I have to do whats right for me. You just don't get it."
