What if Kurt had been at Mckinley during the shooting star episode?   TW: School shootings.

"And welcoming a very special guest to help with this week's lesson, all the way from New York, Mr. Kurt Hummel!" announced a smiling mr. shue as the said special guest bounded into the room smiling and trying to not smile wider when his eyes connected with a stunned Blaine.

Yeah, the pair were not boyfriends anymore but Blaine couldn't deny that he still had feelings for Kurt, and just seeing him bounce into the room made a smile play at his cheeks. He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard Mr. schue continue speaking. "So anyway, after Mr. Hummel here has demonstrated exactly what I'm looking for, you can all begin on your assignments." he said, and just as he began to clap his hands, a much louder bang rang out across the school.

The glee club glanced around at each other for a moment,  confused looks painting their faces, when a second bang confirmed their fears: Someone was firing a gun.

Confusion quickly turned to fear as everyone lept to their feet and dashed to different corners of the room, desperately trying to grab onto friends, partners and hearing the rest of the school shouting and running for safety.

just as quickly as it had been broken, silence fell over the dark room. It took Kurt a few moments to clear his head, but when he did, he realised he was sitting next to a wide-eyed Blaine, crouched behind the piano together. Sitting beside him brought Kurt a moment of comfort, but as he looked around at the terrified faces of the glee club, that slight sense of reassurance was dashed.

Blaine stared around the choir room; his eyes wide. somewhere in the back of his mind he registered that Kurt was crouched next to him. He decided to ask the question plaguing his mind out loud.

"are we sure those were even gunshots?" He asked, but was cut off instantly by the entire room panickedly shushing him.

Hearing all of his friends turn against him in an already terrifying situation was too much for Blaine, and he felt himself curling up into a ball and tucking his head between his knees.

Blaine's chest began to tighten and his breathing turned shallow; He was having an anxiety attack in the middle of school and there was nothing he could do about it.

This thought just made Blaine panic and shake more, and he was on the verge of crying out (even though he knew he couldn't make any noise) when he felt an arm drape round his trembling shoulders and a sharp squeeze on his hand.

Kurt had noticed Blaine folding in on himself, and at first he thought it was just a coping method, until the younger boy's shoulders began to shake and the sound of his staggered breathing caught his attention again.

It was known that (other then his mom) Kurt was the only person who could tell when Blaine was having an anxiety attack.

This fact proved to be true when without thinking twice Kurt put his arm around Blaine's shoulders and squeezed his hand tightly to prove to him that someone was there for him.

Blaine gasped slightly at the contact, but he looked up at Kurt and squeezed his hand back just as hard. The older boy smiled at him slightly. Yes he was still terrified, but he knew that Blaine was in a much worse position and trying to bring him some sort of comfort almost acted as a distraction for Kurt.

They sat like that for a few minutes, with the pair of them holding hands tightly, when the sound of running caused everyone in the room to look up. Kurt swallowed nervously.

The door handle rattled and Blaine whimpered slightly.

Tears began streaming down Kurt's face as he wrapped both his arms around Blaine and pulled him close to his chest, whispering comforting words all the while and trying to ignore whenever his voice cracked.
