"Hey Kurt, where's Blaine?" Mr. Shue asked when the tall boy walked into glee club alone monday afternoon. Kurt sat down and put his bag beside him before answering. "I uh...I'm not sure. I haven't seen him all day." he said, checking his phone again for some sort of explanation. Nothing.
When they were finally dismissed from glee club, Kurt decided to take matters into his own hands and see where Blaine was.
-
Kurt climbed out of the car and knocked sharply on Blaine's front door, crossing his arms to show that he was annoyed.
After a few minutes the door slowly creaked open and a squinting Blaine wrapped in a thick blanket stood there shivering. All of Kurt's anger melted away as he wrapped his arms around Blaine and he realised why he hadn't been at school.
Kurt kissed the smaller boy's forehead and ran his hand through Blaine's loose curls over and over again. "why didn't you tell me you were sick? I would have bunked glee club to come see you." He said. "I didn't want to get you sick too." Blaine replied weakly, his eyes drooping slightly; Kurt running his hands through his hair was very relaxing.
"I don't get sick." Kurt said, placing his arm round Blaine's blanketed shoulder and leading him towards his room. He sneezed twice on the way up and Kurt tried not to giggle at him.
-
Blaine snuggled down under the covers and smiled happily when the opening to Moulin Rouge began to play on the Tv. "So, have you just got a cold or is there anything else wrong?" Kurt asked, gently placing a warm flannel on the shivering boy's forehead.
"uhm...I threw up a few times this morning too. I think it's a sickness bug or something, seriously Kurt, I don't want you getting sick."
"I already told you Blaine, I don't get sick. Now, i'm going to go make you some soup and then you can take a nap ok?" Kurt said, kissing Blaine's warm cheek and heading downstairs.
about half an hour later he walked back into the room holding a bowl of soup, which was now filled with the sound of light snores. Kurt giggled as he put down the bowl and gently sat on the bed next to the sleeping boy. He gently shook him awake. "Blaine? I've got your soup here." He cooed, shaking the other boy's shoulders lightly.
Blaine awoke with a jolt and sat up slowly, muttering a weak "thank you." when Kurt kissed his cheek and began spooning the food into his mouth. "But I can feed myself you know." he added, smiling slightly.
"You are smothered in blankets but you're still shivering, if you were holding the spoon all the soup would fall off before it got to your mouth." Kurt replied, continuing to feed blaine.
they only managed a few more spoonfuls however until Blaine was rushing towards the bathroom and throwing up into the toilet.
He spat a few times then collapsed against Kurt's chest, who rubbed his back and handed him a glass of water. Blaine's teeth clinked against the glass as he drank for a while.
"Come on, let's just lay down in bed and you can go to sleep." Kurt said, wrapping his arm around Blaine's shoulders and slowly leading him back towards the bedroom.
-
Blaine ate some more soup and fell asleep in Kurt's arms, soothed by the sounds of Moulin Rouge and his boyfriend's voice (and his kisses). However he woke up again a few hours later to rush towards the bathroom again.
This process repeated until around 3am, when both boys finally fell into a deep sleep.
Blaine didn't wake again until he heard the sounds of vomiting coming from the bathroom. he felt a lot better, so he quickly stood and ran to Kurt's shaking side. Blaine held back a smirk as he rubbed the taller boy's back and said "But I thought you didn't get sick?"
