*Context: Kurt and Blaine are living alone in New York after their marriage.* I'm starting off somewhat sad please don't hate me
*
Blaine first noticed that his husband was acting strange when Kurt forgot to moisturise this morning when they were brushing their teeth in the bathroom. At first he thought nothing of it, until Kurt failed to leave enough room in the dish for his famous souflé to rise. just as Blaine was about to confront him, He noticed that Kurt's favorite christmas decoration, his mom's perfume bottle, was sat on the coffee table.
"Kurt? can you come here a second?" Blaine called from the couch. Kurt stumbled into the room and stood next to the tv. "what?" he said with his arms crossed. "no. come HERE" Blaine said, getting up and pulling Kurt over onto the couch and onto his lap, wrapping his arms around his waist.
"Blaine I.."
"shh. you have been acting weird lately, and I feel bad for asking but... Is something up with your mom?"
Kurt sat still for a second, then snuggled his head into blaine's neck to try and hide his tears, as he said "y-yes. tomorrow will be the 15th anniversary of her death, and I... I don't really know what to do, I mean I haven't been to see her in over a year and I feel guilty about it, and about not realising how quickly the time went by and I..." Kurt was rambling.
"hey, stop." Blaine interrupted. "if you're not up to it, forget I ever said anything, but what if we fly down to Ohio tomorrow and see her? You know you never introduced me to her." He said smiling slightly.
Kurt lifted his head and Blaine saw the tears. "Oh, Kurt I didn't mean to upset you.." Blaine started, but was interrupted this time by Kurt.
"I want to."
"Ok." blaine smiled softly as Kurt cuddled closer to him, silently deciding to just sit and watch movies for the rest of the night.

"Blaine this was a bad idea. I can't do this." Kurt said, leaning forward and putting his forehead on the dashboard of the car. "yes you can, I'm here, remember?" Blaine said, rubbing his thumb over the back of Kurt's hand.
Kurt sighed deeply and lifted his head. "lets go." Kurt sighed, Clutching his rose and getting out the car. Blaine linked their fingers together as they walked towards the beautiful white marble grave, marked "Elizabeth Grace Hummel, Daughter, Wife, Mother. forever missed."
Blaine clutched his hand tighter as tears began silently rolling down his husband's face.
The Kurt sat down on the earth and placed the rose in front of the grave whilst Blaine rubbed small circles on his back. He began to speak to his mother.
"Hi mom. I know that it's been a little while, but I wanted to introduce you to Blaine. my...my husband." He leaned a little closer and whispered "I really love him mom. I hope that you love him too, and I know you do so much already watching over me and dad, and even Carole and Finn, but could you protect and watch over Blaine too? He is part of my family now, and I really want to start a family of my own with him. I.. I love you, Mom."
Kurt began sobbing as He stood up and wrapped his arms around Blaine, who held him close and let the tears spill over himself.
Blaine kissed Kurt's head gently. "I love you so much Kurt." Blaine whispered into his hair as they walked back towards the car, arms wrapped tightly around each other's waists.
