SO,  I had no ideas so I used a "imagine your otp" generator for some inspiration. One that came up was about two artists, and even though I know nothing about art I thought the idea was cool so im rolling with it. Also this is really long so sorry about that lmao.

Seriously, I know NOTHING about art so i'm making everything up as I go along :3

The New York Academy of Art was where Kurt Hummel finally felt like himself. He was away from the homophobes of Ohio and he was surrounded by paints, pencils, easels and hundreds of competitive teenage artists.

Ever since he was a child, he adored painting. Rather then scribbling on scraps of paper with blunt felt tips like most children, Kurt would spend hours standing in front of his mother's spare easel with pots of child's paint, drawing intricate shapes and designs. That passion carried him through his mother's death, through coming out as gay, through the homophobia of his school and it landed him in one of New York's finest art schools.

Kurt sat on his stool in the back of the classroom and got straight to work squeezing the correct colours onto his palet. the beginnings of his "freestyle" final were staring up at him; pale colored squares, circles and triangles were dotted across the easel in a way that almost resembled a bird.

This was his forte. Kurt knew that all of his best pieces were of faces, animals and bodies constructed not by swooping paint strokes, but by hundreds of different sized shapes with straight jagged edges. He lifted his brush and began painting.

Kurt didn't look up again until twenty minutes in, when his professor stood up and announced the arrival of a new student. "Students, this is Blaine anderson. He is new to the school and is going to be joining us for the rest of the semester. obviously, he has lost three weeks worth of time on his final piece so if any of you could lend a hand if needed it would be greatly appreciated."

Kurt looked at the boy standing next to her and his breath caught in his throat. he was short, well dressed, had a head full of gelled hair and was smiling sweetly, his dimples shining through.

Blaine looked around the room and smiled slightly wider when he noticed that a boy with caramel-highlighted, quiffed hair was looking at him.

Kurt quickly looked down when he felt the blush creep up his cheeks. He decided straight away that he won't offer to help right away to not seem overly eager, but at the end of the class Kurt will walk up to Blaine and compliment him on his work. (If he had painted anything that is, these final pieces take a while.)

Blaine wandered over to a free easel and got to work. "freestyle" was his favorite thing to do, because it meant Blaine could paint whatever kind of landscape he wanted. (This was all he ever painted. spending time delactly painting detailed pictures of places all over the world was his favorite thing to do.)

usually it would take Blaine a while to decide where to paint, but the Art Academy had given him inspiration. He smiled slightly as he picked up his brush and began to paint his own variation of the school's flower garden.

-

Kurt packed away his paints and subtly walked in the direction of the new boy. "hey, I just wanted to say that....Ohmygod that's amazing!?" Kurt was originally planning on offering to help Blaine catch up on missed work, but he already had a semi-full canvas of colourful flowers and leaves.

Blaine laughed. "thanks. the campus here is so pretty, I just got an idea and ran with it." Up close, he noticed that Kurt had hazel eyes filled with gold flakes when the sunlight caught them.
