Wow, I cant believe this is my 11th chapter. It feels like this story has been moving along. Anyways, comment, and tell me what you think so far. Thanks! (oh, and btw. this story is supposedly taking place when school usually starts, so it would be like October, which is around the time pitch perfect came out... in case you were like wondering, because now its out on dvd. :)

Blake's P.O.V

Did I really want to do this? To go see a girly movie just to hang out with Evelyn?

Well, shit, of course I did. Hey, I'm a guy, and any chance that I can get closer to Evelyn, I'll take it. Even if it means seeing some chick movie.

I was picking Evelyn up sometime around seven. The movie was supposedly suppose to start at 7:30. So by the time we got to the movies, and maybe get popcorn, it would be about time for the movie to start.

I glanced in the mirror one last time before leaving to go pick up Evelyn. I didn't see my mother when I jogged down the stairs, and I hadn't heard her when I was upstairs either, so she was most likely out. Again. I shrugged my shoulders. I stopped caring a long time ago.

Putting my car, well technically my dads, into reverse, I backed out of the driveway. Taking the usual route to Evelyn's, I noticed the sun beginning to go down. I've lived in Florida my whole life and I still never get tired of seeing the sunset. Evelyn was so lucky that she lived right on the beach.

I didn't pay much attention to the cars located in the driveway, which was why my face was contorted into shock when a middle aged woman opened up the door a couple minutes later.

"Hello, can I help you?" Her voice was sweet like, and I glanced over her to confirm my suspicions that she was indeed, Evelyn's mother. I cleared my voice before answering. This was the first time that I've met her mother and I wanted to make a good impression. Even if I wasn't Evelyn's girlfriend.

"Uh, hello ma'am. My names Blake." I held my hand out for her to shake. Sometimes I may be conceded, and yeah maybe sometimes a player, but I was still a gentleman.

Evelyn's mom stared at my hand for a few seconds before reaching her small, bony hand out to meet mine. "Oh, yes. Evelyn mentioned you before."

I had to admit, I was a little disappointed that Evelyn hadn't talked about me to her mom, but then I understood because I had told her that I wasn't very good when it came to meeting people's parents.

"Mom, please. I told you I got the door." Evelyn stepped next to her mom while sending me an apologetic smile.

"Honey, you told me you had the door, but then you hadn't answered, and two minutes had passed by."

I saw Evelyn roll her eyes, but give her mom a kiss on the cheek before stepping out onto the porch all the way.

"Do you have your money?" Her mom asked. Evelyn nodded her head. "Well have fun, and Blake," She turned to look me in the eye. "It was a pleasure meeting you. I'm sure I'll be hearing more about you after today." Out of the corner of my eye I saw Evelyn shoot her mother a look. Her mom only grinned at her in return.

I smiled at Evelyn's mom. "Thanks Mrs. Sheere. Have a good evening." Mrs. Sheere gave Evelyn one last smile before closing the door. Evelyn didn't move for a minute as she stared at the concrete.

"I'm sorry about that. I wasn't expecting her to answer the door. And when I told her I'd get it, I was upstairs finishing getting ready." She finally met my eyes, before giving me a sympathetic smile.
