 Evelyn's P.O.V

"OH MY GOD WE'RE OFFICIALLY GRADUATED!" I winced as Lily screamed directly in my ear. Although, seeing her happy expression made me grin.

"Come on, be more excited! No more high school!" I snorted as she began jumping up and down in glee. "Wait!" She stopped and looked at the blue sky. She frowned, then turned to face me. "Is this the part where we're supposed to start singing?"

I covered my laugh with my hands as she started singing the lyrics to High School Musical.

"Lily!" I looked at the people watching us with shocked expressions. "People are staring!"

"Yippee!" She yelled, throwing her cap up in the air. I couldn't hold back my laugh as it floated back down, hitting her in the face.

"Your turn!" She shouted to me, her expression hopeful. I sighed, but repeated what she had done, throwing my cap up in the air, but catching it.

"No one likes a show off." She stuck her tongue out at me, acting childish. I rolled my eyes, but smiled brightly.

God, it felt amazing to receive my diploma. It made it seem so much more real. Accepting your diploma made it official. It means you really are graduating, and you really are done with high school.

"Come on, let's go find Dylan." Lily grabbed my wrist, and led us into the direction where all the other graduated high schoolers stood, talking immensely. I passed my family on the way, waving at them and mouthing that I would talk to them eventually.

When we finally found Dylan, Lily and him hugged tightly before they started kissing. I looked away, focusing my attention on the ground.

"Hey, congratulations!" I was pulled into a hug before I could even look at who it was. But I didn't need to look, I could tell by his voice.

"Yeah, you too Tyler." I poked him in the shoulder after he let me go.

Tyler had asked me to Prom about a week before it. I didn't plan on going, but since he asked me I accepted. He knew I didn't like him like that. I just considered him a close friend, and he considers me a friend of his, too. I thought it would be awkward going to Prom with him. But, surprisingly, it was fun. I had a fun time laughing and dancing, forgetting about all that had happened in the last few months was nice. I felt like myself again. And I loved that.

I did see Blake at the dance. He escorted Katie and I thought I wouldn't be okay with seeing him with her, but I didn't even see them for the whole night. Only a couple times. Once before when he told me I looked beautiful (which of course I blushed), and during the dance when he was slow dancing with Katie. I thought it was weird how he went to the dance with her even though he had no idea who she was. But I heard that she asked him and he accepted just to be polite.

"Yo, earth to Evelyn," I focused my attention back on to Tyler who was currently waving his hand in front of my face.

"Sorry, what?" I asked, feeling guilty that I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying.

"I asked if you were coming to my after graduation party later tonight?" I folded my arms over my chest.

"You have way too many parties. One of these days, you're going to get in trouble." I scolded him.

Tyler snorted. "I'd like to see that day happen." And I rolled my eyes before my attention was caught onto a certain someone.

He saw me staring, and smiled. I waved, but didn't smile. I had to take baby steps.

"Alright everyone, group photo!" I looked away to see my mom who held a camera in her hand.

"Mom," I whined. "Do we have to?" She always seemed to embarrass me like this.
