Blake's P.O.V
Evelyn and I were fighting.
It started out like this:
"I'm going to miss you." I told her, a sad expression on my face.
She smiled lightly, then, "I'll miss you, too. But it's only for five days. I'm sure you won't even think about me." I frowned at her words. I'm sure she meant it out to be a joke, but I still couldn't help but take her words seriously.
"You know I will." I pointed out to her as she was packing her bag. She shrugged, and focused on packing her bag, not meeting my gaze. I frowned even more. Was there something going on?
"Is everything alright?" I asked. She nodded her head, and continued to put clothes in her suitcase. "Evelyn," I said gently, grabbing her elbow so she could turn to face me. I didn't understand what was going on. Everything was fine between us a minute ago. At least I hope...
"Everything's fine." She whispered quietly, looking down at her feet. I pulled her closer to me, lifting her chin up so she could look at me.
"I don't believe that," I stated when she finally met my gaze. "So, tell me what's wrong." She pulled away from my hold, and looked down at her feet again.
"Everyone's saying that you like Katie, and that you spend time with her more than me." She replied so softly, that I almost missed what she said.
"What?" I asked, shocked. Please tell me this wasn't what she was upset about.
"I said, everyone is saying that-"
I interrupted her. "No, I heard you the first time... But please tell me that you don't believe them?" I told her, running a hand through my hair. She looked up at me, then frowned.
"Well... You have been spending a lot of time with her..." She whispered sheepishly, shrugging her shoulders.
I shook my head. Didn't she understand that it was her I was with?
"I'm tutoring her." Evelyn turned away from me.
"And that's supposed to make me believe you?" She questioned while starting to fold her clothes again. I stood there shocked, and a little angry. I mean, how could she believe that? We've been together for months! Even if I was spending a lot of time with Katie, it doesn't mean I like the girl!
"Uh, yeah. I'm your boyfriend. I like you." There was a sharp tone to my voice. She shrugged her shoulders and didn't look up at me. I stood there for a few minutes watching her while she packed, waiting for her to say anything. But she didn't say anything, or even look up at me again.
It was beginning to tick me off that she didn't trust me, or say anything in response to what I said.
"Okay, well you let me know when you believe me." I replied curtly before exiting. I walked past her parents and brother, and out the front door to my car. Getting in, I buckled before taking a deep breath.
What the hell just happened?

"Dude, loosen up. Come to this party, and have fun." Dylan told me as we passed a football to each other in his backyard.
I snorted. "Easy for you to say. Your girlfriend isn't in another state, and you two aren't fighting." I said back.
He groaned. "I'm sure she just needs some time. All relationships are like that at some point."
