Chapter 15: it wasn't real, it was magic.

"An Earthquake of a magnitude of 6.7 rocked Southern California with three aftershocks. Its been an official 13 hours since the last aftershock and power has just been restored for most buildings and houses. California Power&Lights is reporting a full operating souther California by morning. The death toll is up til 17 from this earthquake"

The TV cut off as Francesca sucked her teeth. She looked over at her brother with a cast on his right arm and a few bruises patched up on his face and shoulder as he laid shirtless in the hospital bed. He dropped the remote and snapped, "I dont want to hear about that shit. Did my bike get totaled to the clubhouse?"

"Yes you were high off pain meds when Jackson came thru earlier but yes they recovered your bike and they are already working on it. You need to get rest."

"What I need is to get the fuck out of here." Rome retorted as he took a deep breath.

Meanwhile, Raven wiped his forehead and exhaled, "great job girls and boys. Lets take a 20 minute break. Grab your lunches." The door opened and Raven spotted his brother with Sushi in hand. They walked into his office and Raven exhaled, "You came right on time. Im starvingg."

"Here goes your nasty ass sushi!" Dre said as they sat down and Raven popped the top off and exhaled, "Risha may get the lead for the second act in the recital. She learns quick."

"I mean she she practices all day at home Setta say and something looks different with you."

"My earrings. They went missing. I ordered some more at my jewelers." Raven told Dre squinted as Raven grabbed the chopsticks and Raven saw Dre face.

"Stoppp! I misplaced them. She didn't take em." Raven said as Dre tossed his hands up and exhaled, "I didnt say anything. She paying me what I told her and does her chores that I gave to her at the house. I cant lie the kids like her around. I guess all the scars I hold is for them to be able to not bear anything she ever done. The twins witnessed a little bit but I think they push it to the back of their head because"

"Any teenagers wants to see the good in the woman that birthed them. But anyways I do need your help with something." Raven vaguely said as Dre sat up and his phone started ringing. He pulled it out his pocket and saw Jackson.

"Hello."

"Get here Gardner. We having an emergency meeting. Boss just called from the hospital and they releasing him tomorrow." Jackson stated as Dre stood up and hung up.

"I got to go but tell me later. Can it wait?" Dre asked.

"Yeah its fine."

Izzy.

"I am here to sign up for a few classes for the summer term. I have my high school transcripts, form of identification, and residency papers." I said to the man behind the glass as I slid my things under the slot to him. He typed away on a computer and exhaled, "Perfect so you were accepted last fall correct?"

"Yes but I started my business and got my license thru a program in high school but I am being told that if I want to have more than one shop and"

"You need a bachelors in business...yes you do. Well here at Oakland Community College we have a transfer program to a DEVIAN BUSINESS SCHOOL. It will take all of 3 years to complete. I can get you set up with your advisor and have you choose your classes. Please just take a seat and Ill be right with you." He said as I walked over to a blue chair and took my seat.

I pulled my phone out and saw a message from my mom.

"Hey I was at the hospital this morning...dont be alarmed just needed to make sure my files from Miami transferred and I saw him being rolled around in a wheelchair."
