"The parade yesterday was everything. The ball is tomorrow and Ill have my verdict on if Dad is gonna let me stay. He is been very attentive and actually trying to pay attention. However we have yet to have a one on one conversation and I am scared. All this time Ive only talked to photos or to your tombstone not knowing you have an entire Memorial Statue in the center of a Rose Garden"

"And its absolutely beautiful." I heard my Dad say as I turned around and saw him walking up towards the statue as he touched the plaque with Greggory Aldafi engraved in it. He took a large breath and stated, "You know he didn't wanna marry me legally because he didnt want to be marrying me for a reason. We had an entire ceremony and it was never official. However, he is and would always be my first husband."

"I know and lets thank him because Isaiah Aldafi sounds like a computer software company" I told him as we laughed and he wrapped his arm around my neck.

"So I take it you like it here and your grandmother isn't half bad at all. She actually has a nice head on her shoulders and at this ball I take it is where you are suppose to become an official Princess that is taking her strike at the throne" He explained as I stared up at him and explained, "Yes but Dad I also would not hold it against you if you drag me home. Its been us three since Dad died and you are trying your hardest to keep us as this tight trifecta and that we will always be."

"Oh Duh! Im just scared because you are my baby girl but I seen you smile more times in this week than you have in Oakland. Also, your Dad will be watching over you and to be fair this is all yours rightfully and you should have the choice if you want to stay..so come and find me after the ball tomorrow and let me know what you want. Dont spare my feelings now I want your honest answer." I smiled at him and we hugged tight and I cried out, "The Queen said I can visit after my first year and same for you guys. I can send a private jet and all to come and go. Its 9 and half hours. It isnt that far if you ask me."

"It isnt at all I-I am just gonna miss you so much. However I told your grandmother that school isnt an option. Your plate will be full but you are amazing and strong"

"And better at every school subject than Cairo so you have nothing to worry about." I shaded my brother as we both laughed and Cairo came rushing over and stated, "Jay txted me! Michaela is woke."

"I told Rome she would be fine, I just hope he hasnt went too far off the deep-end." My dad added as we looked at him confused as that was very vague. I rushed over and hugged my brother and exhaled, "I am happy your sister is okay. And guess what in 48 hours you would be able to see her. Did Grandma make it back home?"

"She texted me an hour ago and yall grandpa wasnt there he left her some not saying he didnt wanna impose but he will be around. Whatever that means, um and not to stop this little pow wow but its dinner time and the lobster bisque is better hot!" My Dad said as we both laughed and all grabbed hands and walked back into the palace.

"I hope this txt finds you, but I heard from Cairo that Michaela is awake. I knew she would come thru. She is your kid. And you are one of the strongest people I have ever met. I am back in the states within the next two days so I would love to see you and see what headspace you are in."

I sent it to Rome as I quickly placed my phone back down on the vanity mirror as I sat there in my satin robe. I stood up and walked over to the balcony and I looked out at the lit up land. It was literally breath taking for damn sure. This week here has been a great impromptu vacation my mom was pissed she had to get back to work because we started actually enjoying it here after finding out Daij was fine....I am lowkey having a rough time still trying to wrap my head around not going back to the states with her being the obvious reality.
