Macaria

"Melinoe!" I called out happily, rushing into her room after Thanatos had left me
"Huh... what?" She asked tiredly, sitting up slowly as her hair fell over her shoulders
"Melinoe! He loves me" I proclaimed, jumping onto her bed.

"He loves you?" She asked, still not fully awake, remnants of sleep left in her dark eyes
"He loves me. Thanatos loves me. He told me. He... he kissed me" I said, smiling to myself as I relayed the evenings events in my head.

The man that stole my heart, the man that had stolen all my love. He reciprocated the feeling.
He actually loves me.
"That is amazing Caria" Melinoe smiled sleepily
I could not contain the beaming smile that possessed my face.

I had never felt happiness like this
I had never been more content with life.
The only qualms still running through my love struck head was how my father would react
Would he give us permission to court?

I fear he may not. And as ashamed as I am to admit it
As guilty as it makes me... I do not think I could ever give up Thanatos now. Ever.

Thanatos

I laid in bed, just... being
I had replayed yesterday over and over in my mind, my eyes closed as I pictured her soft hair, warm pale skin, her lips and her eyes and... her moans
"Morning dear brother" I heard Hypnos call as he appeared in my room.

I sighed
"You have to interrupt everything do you not?" I groaned
"Oh? I am sorry, does your meeting with Lord Hades disrupt your fantasies about his daughter?" He smirked.

I threw him a glare.
I was not... fantasising. Not anymore
I had experienced it. Experienced her
"I am not late. Yet" I said simply. I had time before having to see Lord Hades.

"So... how was last night?" He asked
"... good" I said simply. I was not prepared to tell Hypnos everything that happened last night.
It was mine. Last night was mine to hold onto
"Just good? And here was me thinking the last god knows how many years had all been leading up to the ultimate union of two lonely souls" he chuckled.

"It is not your business what I do with Macaria" I said, sitting up
"No, but it is lord Hades" he smirked
"I know" I sighed
"So you have not figured out what you are going to say?" He smiled.

"What is there to say? I am completely and madly in love with your daughter? Please let me be with her?" I said, already feeling defeated
It was not a secret, nor something people did not know... I was not good enough for her. It was as simple as that.
