Thanatos
The God of death, the God everyone loathes, and yet the one everyone longs for at the end, the God they cling too, seek comfort in, the God all the others forget about and yet... Olympus itself would fall without him.
He's lonely... under...
"She is of the strangest beauty and the darkest courage. And when she walks with intent the earth trembles beneath her feet" - Nicole Lyons

Sleep escaped me The early hours of the morning dragged on around me as I sat staring at the unfinished painting of me Wandering what to do What there was to do
How I was supposed to save the boy I loved And racking my own thoughts for who could have told my father Mother knew, but I could not see her betraying me
Hypnos knew, but likewise, he would not betray his brother's confidence Guards stood outside my door So any chance of finding out who had ruined my life was out of the window
Which is where I wished to be Out of that window Down in the meadows as the sun slowly rose, meeting the boy who held my heart for our early morning meeting
Stealing kisses and small whispers from each other
But that would not happen today. Nor tomorrow I was locked in my room And Thanatos was locked in a cell.
And yet my heart being ripped away from his was what tore me apart.
"Darling, are you awake?" My mother whispered, the door opening as her gaze slowly found mine "You are not in bed" she said, closing the door behind her
"How can I sleep when Thanatos is locked away? Like a prisoner mother" I said, refusing to look her in the eye I looked out of the window, longing to be free from this painful reminder of a room
The sheets where he was only a few hours ago, kissing me and making me complete Where his painting sat showing me the glowing view he saw me in Even unfinished it looked beautiful He made me look beautiful
"How is he?" I asked when she had said nothing "Angry, deciding what to do next" she sighed "I do not mean him" I snapped "I am not sure how Thanatos is dear, your father is keeping him under a tight lock" she said.
"Can I leave my room?" I asked "You may, you are to fulfil your duty today" she said "Alone?" I asked, receiving a nod "No" I said, standing up "No?" She asked, eyes following me as I made my way to the door
"Refusing to comply with him will only make this situation worse, you need to appeal to him not fight" she said "He needs to respect my wishes as an adult, I can make my own decisions and my own mistakes. Thanatos is not one of them, I love him. And I am not going to collect any souls until he understands that fact" I said, leaving the room.

"Macaria? Have you heard from Thanatos since yesterday, he is not in his chambers and I can not find him anywhere" Hypnos spoke up as I approached him by the blossom tree "He has been locked away" I said
