"You almost bore me as much as every other god fighting for a forbidden love" Zeus laughed "Almost" I commented He hummed "Yes, you have the temper of your father. And the spirit of your mother" he said.
"Not much of a compliment" Hera commented from beside him. "I wish to attend your ball with Thanatos. As my partner, without any repercussions" I told them plainly
I know what I want. And I want Thanatos. I cannot exist without him. "And if I deny you?" He asked curiously "Then I shall remain in the dark with him until we are accepted" I said determined
He was silent for a long moment. "Do not entertain her dearest. She will only grow hopeful" Hera said, looking me over "I will think on the matter. And I shall talk to Thanatos too" he decided, earning Hera's gaze
"Thank you" I said genuinely "Zeus" Hera gritted out "We must give everyone a fair trial Hera. Else we are left to the days of old. When people like Hades and Eros took wives of their own choosing without acceptance from the gods" he explained, turning his attention back to me
"But do not be fooled into thinking you are in control Macaria. I shall decide this matter" he warned I nodded, knowing I shall not let Thanatos go no matter the outcome.
"I just wish for the same chance my father got with my mother" I said honestly Zeus chuckled again, more bitterly this time "I compromised with your father. After many many disagreements. And even now, your mother is left unhappy for six months of the year. Confined to a cottage with your grandmother. Are you prepared to be dealt such a hand?" He asked curiously, I stood up.
"I will take any price and endure any torture to be by his side for one day" I said with conviction Any hour, any minute to just be with him.

I trailed up the fields towards the castle, hoping my father would not notice my absence from my duties "Macaria" Hypnos called me "Hypnos" I smiled, halting my steps
"How are you?" I asked "Me? You and Than are the ones under Hades' wrath. How are you?" He asked "I am fine. I am dealing with it" I said "Do I want to know?" He asked cautiously "Most likely not. What about you? Did you manage to earn Pasithea's hand?" I asked
"Yes. She is content with me as a husband so... we should be wed in the coming months. I am planning to take her away so we can... connect" he told me "Connect?" I raised a brow He smiled
