I don't write poetry to fix it to a beat
I write it to show some linguistic feat
To reach from snowy highlands
To baking sands
to show that a word can be more than just a word
That it can be more than simply the preferred
means of communicating simplicity's
and be more about means interwoven intricately
because for a word to lose its meaning as a word
well that's just simply absurd
So every man, woman and child across the land
should be pulled up by the hand
and show that word can be more than just a word
and is a gateway to the truly superb
when a line can take you from war torn fields
to the happiness on faces from abundant yields
we can all write letters to a page
but too few just use it to inspire rage
and too few do it to simply spread joy
and that is what I implore you to employ
