As leaders prune and try to stay in tune
spreading their beliefs far and wide
"Keep us in power and you will surely flower"
But they only care about their own
making poverty rise and pulling blankets over eyes
Making people talk about how they see a woman and wanna plough her
rather than how shes a nurse and her job is a curse
working long hours, walking home as she cries
saving lives but still unable to drive
fridge and cupboards as bare as her purse
and yet they still aren't the ones treated the worst.
Budgets spoken, peoples fears are awoken
Benefits cut more, class difference now steeper.
Bankers bailed out before now offer loans you cant afford.
Repayments missed and families broken,
foxes hunted and the homeless punted
no wonder there's such anger and discord
when we adhere to a system not based on wisdom
as we get hit again by cuts we've long brunted
We cannot stand this villainy, we must overthrow this tyranny
Rise again and reclaim our united kingdom
and regain some semblance of freedom.
