A Brief View

A wind is rustling through emerald blades

as the cool see breezes brings scents of far flung waves,

birds bring with them joyful hymn and song

while the sun leaves silhouettes, thick and long

dancing along as clouds block the blinding rays

and gradually darken as we witness the end of day

as the birds begin to silence their singing

and the moon begins its reflected gleaming

the foliage and bushes rustles and twigs snap

as nocturnal beings awaken from a well deserved nap

stepping wearily from their cozy holes

with their stomach reminding them of their ultimate goals

as over a lake in the distance lights pirouette in graceful spin

as fireflies become the brightest light in the dim

night shining brightly as they whirl over the water

as the families of fish appear from mothers and fathers to their sons and daughters

swimming gracefully and seemingly not making a ripple

as everything goes on around them described through hasty scribbles

and as it comes to close with the cycle restarting anew

I'll stop my writing and bid this haven adieu
