The rest of the drive there was pretty eventful and admittedly a bit much for the elder man. He had to endure the workers uncensored mouth as well as the slight sugar rush he'd gotten from eating so much candy which he'd ended up confiscating and tossing somewhere in the back.
It was the only way to get the other man to sit in his seat and stop suggesting vulgar things while he was driving and trying his best to get them to their destination unharmed. Yokozawa settled down enough to read the book Kirishima had bought, but once he caught sight of the mansion where the event was being held, he grew anxious again.
"Remind me never to let you get so much candy and coffee next time. You're worse than a child." The elder man shook his head, parking his car off to the side. "Drink this." He gave the man the water he'd bought at the store earlier and secretly hoped it'd cancel out the excess energy he had.
Yokozawa uncapped the water and chugged it, most of it running down his chin and neck messily.
"Oi! You really are a child." The elder scolded, grabbing a handkerchief and patting the worker dry before the water could soak his clothes. "Maybe it'd be best if you waited at the hotel until I go get you for the dinner party."
Before the younger could respond, a man in a dark blue suit approached them with a diplomatic smile. "Ahh, Kirishima nice of you to join us." The man shook hands with him eagerly before turning towards Yokozawa. "And who's this? I don't believe we've ever met."
The hazel eyed man sent the worker a look that seemed to say let me handle this before returning his attention towards the man who'd invited them. "This man is my plus one. His name is Yokozawa Takafumi."
"What a pretty name." He complimented. "Well any friend of Kirishima's is a friend of mine, so make yourselves at home. You two are one of the first to arrive so you can have one of the many guestrooms."
"Oh, no thank you. We were going to rent a hotel-
"Nonsense." The owner of the mansion shook his head. "I invited you, so it's only fair that I give you somewhere to rest until the other guests arrive."
"Thank you for your hospitality."
"I'll show you to your room."
The man beckoned them to follow him as he led them through the huge mansion. They walked towards the back and were eventually led through a huge hallway before stopping in front of a door. "This will be your room. It's the biggest guestroom here. It's fully furnished and even has a mini bar."
The duo entered the room and set their stuff down. "This place is nice." Yokozawa commented, walking towards the bar and picking up a random bottle. "Am I allowed to open this or is it just for show?"
"Takafumi." Kirishima warned lightly, sending him a stern look.
"I'm glad you think so. My wife was worried about me installing a mini bar in each room, but I'll be sure to tell her at least one of our guests appreciate it." The man smiled reassuringly. "And you can drink whatever is available there. That's what it's for."
"Thanks."
"I'll leave you two alone. Dinner is at seven o'clock sharp."
With that, the man exited the room, being sure to close the door behind him.
Kirishima's glanced at his watch. They had quite a bit of time to waste before they had to get ready for dinner, so he figured he could engage the younger in his antics for a while. He walked up to him and took the bottle of liquor from his grasp. "Do you want a drink?"
