Work was definitely something he excelled at. If a topic had to do with his occupation, or his company was involved, he was all ears. It's how things were. As an owner of a company, he had to ensure it grew and flourished.
So having meetings concerning that were always a pleasure to hold, only, he couldn't seem to focus on what his employees were saying. He'd told them to bring fresh ideas to the table, but they were spewing the same crap they always did.
How about we drop the prices. If the prices are low, more people will buy.
I like that idea. We could advertise to people who don't have much money but are in the market to shop.
I agree. What do you say, boss?
Kirishima.
Kirishima?
"Kirishima-san!" Hemni exclaimed, being the only one brave enough to raise his voice at the curly haired male who seemed to be lacking hearing skills. "What do you think? Personally I say we should go with what they were saying, but instead of dropping prices we could do a bid on a certain amount of items. Like we could set a building at a million dollars, and see how much it auctions off for."
Kirishima hummed in response, trying to play off the fact he'd just been zoning out and had definitely gotten caught. He cleared his throat and rested his hands under his chin. "I actually like that idea, Hemni. Good work, guys. That concludes the meeting." He clapped his hands, signaling the end of it.
Some of the workers gave him odd, disbelieving looks but chose not to say anything. They simply gathered their belongings and went back to their daily tasks, too weirded out by the owner's behavior to try and even put up a fight about the turn of events.
"Are you ok, boss?" Hemni asked, choosing to stay back to make sure his employer was ok. The man had been so enthusiastic and prepared for this very meeting a few days prior, now he seemed preoccupied and unengaged from what they'd discussed.
"I'm fine. This meeting was tedious. Everything your coworkers said was to be expected. They say the same ideas whenever we have meetings like this, they just change the words up." Kirishima responded, standing up from his seat and giving his worker a pat on the back. "Well, I'm off. Lock up for me, and thanks for the idea. I appreciate having at least one worker that takes their job seriously."
"T-thank you, sir."
With that, the hazel eyed man took his leave. He climbed into his car and pulled out his phone, sending Yokozawa a text message. Initially he thought it was going to take the other a while to respond, but he couldn't hide the surprise that crept up him when he got a reply automatically.
They exchanged messages for a while before he asked the younger if he was busy.
"K." That was all the younger had responded with. He didn't know whether to be unamused, or just thankful that he got a reply at all, but he left it like that and began driving to the apartment complex.
