With Hemni still gone and the original task having been completed already, neither man knew what to do. The younger was seated on a rolling chair and was currently just spinning around boredly while the other watched with a raised brow and a hint of amusement on his face.

"I know I told you that you could've been an office person if you wanted to, but I seriously have my doubts now."

"It's because there's nothing to do anymore." Yokozawa replied, coming to a stop which was honestly a bad idea. The abruptness and loss of motion caused him to go lightheaded for a second, he blinked the feeling away before resting his head on his hand. "I was able to do the work you assigned without any problems though. So I think I could hold a job like this."

"Yeah, you did. I have to give credit where it's due. You're actually very smart..." The hazel eyed man trailed off. What he'd just said was kind of offensive and not what he wanted to say. Well, it was. It just wasn't phrased right. "Not that I ever thought you weren't smart or anything-

He was cut off by the other's laughter.

"Haha. I understood what you meant but thanks for clearing that up."

"I don't understand something about you though."

"Hmm, and what's that?"

"The explanation you gave me a while back when I questioned why you dropped out of college. It doesn't make sense to me."

The gray eyed man pursed his lips in careful consideration. He didn't really recall this conversation. It was probably one that took place on one of their early appointments because he had no recollection of it.

How the hell did Kirishima remember things like that? It was as if everything he'd said, whether it was important or not, was held onto tightly by the elder as if it was some type of valuable information or treasure.

"I don't really remember that conversation. Mind refreshing me on what I told you?"

"You told me that you attended college for a while but then you dropped out because you couldn't keep up with you peers, but I don't believe that's the real reason." The hazel eyed man replied skeptically. "Like I've always known, you're smarter than you give yourself credit for, so I doubt you couldn't keep up with them academically. You also said it was because everyone else knew what they wanted to be except for you, but that you were leaning towards an office job. So you see? It just doesn't add up."

Yokozawa literally allowed his head to fall against the desk with a thump. "Tsk. Why are you always so caught up on my past?" He asked, wanting to change the subject already. He didn't like talking about himself, it was a pain and wasn't something he enjoyed. "For once why can't we have a normal conversation?"

"I'm interested in your past because I like you and want to get to know you better."

"Why? I don't question you on your past."

"You're right." Kirishima realized. While he'd come to terms early on that Yokozawa wasn't nosy or at all interested in his past, he'd never once talked about himself. Usually he'd just interrogate the younger man until he grew annoyed or tired with the line of questioning. He knew so much about the gray eyed man, but Yokozawa didn't know anything about him.

He barely knew his name and what he does for a living.

"Why don't you ask me any questions you have then? I'm sure there's something that you want to know about me."

"Not really."

He faltered.

Why was this man just so uncaring and uninterested?
