The two had fallen into a kind of back and forth chatter where the elder would ask a question, and the other would answer or comment on the topic. It wasn't until they heard a knock on the door that they paused.

"Either the food was delivered, or Hemni dropped off your car."

"Well, go check."

Kirishima tskked lightly. "Here I was thinking you were actually starting to be nice to me. My mistake." He feigned disappointment, but got up from his spot on the couch and made his way to the door, opening it and being met face to face with a delivery girl.

"Here's your order, sir." She handed him the bags of food and watched as the man handed them to someone else inside the house.

"Thank you. How much is it?"

"Your total will be thirty-five flat."

He pulled out his wallet and sighed. He didn't have any change. That on it's own wasn't disappointing, but he seemed to never have any bills smaller than a hundred. "Here, keep the change." He handed her a hundred and glanced past her.

It seemed as if Hemni had already dropped off the car.

"Are you sure? I think I have change-

"Just keep it as a tip." Without even waiting for a response, he closed the door and walked to the kitchen where the younger man was already seated at the table, eating his fried rice.

"You couldn't even wait on me?"

"No." Yokozawa replied, gulping down the food he had in his mouth. "You were taking too long, so I just helped myself."

"I was dealing with the delivery worker." Kirishima explained, taking a seat and unpacking the rest of the food from the bags. "Also, your car is in my driveway, so you don't have to worry about anything happening to it."

"Cool." The worker nodded before eating another spoonful of rice. He ate a bit more before noticing that the man seated across from him was just observing. He raised an eyebrow in question. "What? Oh, my bad. Did you want some?" He offered the box of rice to the man and tilted his head when all he received was a head shake. "No? Then why are you just staring at me?"

"You look so content eating that."

"I like rice."

"You really are a simple person, aren't you."

"Yeah." He agreed easily before looking through the bag in front of him. "Oh, cool. Fortune cookies." He dumped them out on the table and slid one to the older man.

Kirishima grabbed onto it and held it in his hand. Why did this man seem to get so excited over the smallest of things? Fortune cookies weren't all that great, and usually what was written on the tiny pieces of scrap paper stuffed inside was generic. Almost all the cookies had the exact same overused lines.

"Do you like fortune cookies?" He inquired, staring at the cookie in his hand.

"Who doesn't?"

"Do you like the taste?"

"What? No. I like reading the fortunes. I know they're not true but it's still entertaining to see what you get."

The hazel eyed man grew even more confused. This guy liked reading the fortunes? Why? They held no meaning whatsoever. They usually just said the cheesiest lines like work hard and you can achieve anything or don't let people get in the way of your success. It was basically common sense in writing, not guesses about the future.
