Both men were now inside of the elders car just cruising around aimlessly. There was a comfortable silence resting over them like a thin veil, inviting either one to add on to the relaxing mood, or leave things as is.
Of course, Kirishima was the first to break the serenity. Never one to pass up on an opportunity to talk to his favorite person. "So did you enjoy working along side with me today?"
"I enjoyed getting to see what you do for work. It was nice."
"I'm glad you think so." He pursed his lips in thought for a second before continuing. "Have you thought about what you want to do? Do you want to look for a job or university to attend?"
The younger man faltered slightly for a bit. He did want to get a job but he wanted to go back and get a degree as well. Several doubts crossed his mind. Would he even be able to keep up, or would life's pressure weigh him down again? "I-I think I want to find a job first and then, maybe go to college. I'm not too sure though. What do you think?"
"I'm going to make my position on this matter perfectly clear." Hazel eyes hardened and gleamed darkly. "You don't need to work while you're with me. Money isn't an issue. I would never charge you for anything or make you feel like you're not contributing. If anything, I like the idea of you depending on me but I realize this is something you really want to do, so I won't get in your way. Whatever you want- I'll try to make happen."
"I appreciate you taking my sentiments into consideration."
"Mhmm. Now tell me, what is it you want to do? Do you want to be a business man, someone who works from home, or something else?"
Yokozawa shrugged his shoulders. "I-I don't really know. I was going to pick up a part time job and see where things go from there. Is that alright?"
"Depends."
"On what?"
"What type of part time job you want and what type of co-workers you have."
"Co-workers? Why would that matter?"
The confused look on the younger mans face made Kirishima chuckle softly. Was he really asking why? "You're not exactly the best at talking to people appropriately or respectfully so I could see one of your comments eventually getting you into trouble, and I won't tolerate someone being hostile towards you over a misunderstanding."
"I-I'll try to change how I talk to people."
This guy was so naive. It wasn't just the way he talked, it was his whole demeanor.
In no way, shape or form was Yokozawa malicious. It's just that he didn't have the correct social skills to hold a normal conversation with someone. In other words, he was terribly bad at acting. Many people could hide their bubbling annoyance with a smile, or other calming gesture, but the young man was an open book. His mood easily being displayed through bored or unimpressed facial expressions.
He was just too brutally honest for his own good.
"You're really going to try?"
"I'll try."
"Then I think you should go for it. Just...don't be too disappointed if the first couple of attempts don't go your way, ok?"
"I won't be."
"Good. Now where would you like to go?"
"Could you drop me off at my apartment?"
A frown immediately made itself evident on the curly haired mans face. "You want to go home already? I thought you would've wanted to spend more time with me, or even go on a date."
