Ah, sweet beautiful bromance... and random unneeded endings.

"Say-it-again!" Gumball said, between laughs. Y/n sighed with annoyance.

"I'm double grounded," She said in a bored tone. It had been a few weeks since the fateful day of her mom's meeting, and she'd been deliberately troublesome despite the rivalry that Nicole and M/n shared.

Both Gumball and Darwin looked at each other for a moment, before dissolving into laughter.

"Double grounded!" Darwin repeated in amusement.

She rolled her eyes and continued to pack her bags. She'd pulled a prank on Principal Brown, and both her mom's grounded her. Great. So she was now packing her bags so she could live with Rob for a bit. She didn't want to dwell on what that might mean.

"So... you're running away?" Gumball asked, finally calming himself down. "Where will you go?"

"Yeah, and you guys know nothing about it." She replied, avoiding his last question.

He raised his eyebrow. "You're going to Rob's, aren't you?" His tone was both fanboyish and slightly accusing.

"What's it to you?" She slung her bag over her shoulder and automatically reached to pick Barney up, as she did every time she went somewhere and was packing. Her hand grabbed at air and she sighed.

He shrugged. "Whatever. I'm just wondering when you'd become the anti-hero."

"I am the anti-hero, Gumball. See ya, Darwin."

Darwin nodded. "Yeah. Come back, though."

"Always do." Y/n lied smoothly. She headed for the front door swiftly. Before she opened it she twirled around and looked at both boys scrutinizingly. "You know what you'll say?"

They nodded. "We have no idea why you left or where you went," Gumball said.

She hesitated, thinking of a better excuse. Then she nodded. "Okay. That will do. See you guys sometime."

She opened the door and left through it, shutting it quietly; it made the tiniest click. With a sigh and one last look at her home, she started walking backward for a better sight of the house.

And that's when she collided with Rob and sent them both sprawling across the lawn.

"Ow." He complained, and said, "You're heavy."

"That makes no sense. Here, I'll help you up."

She stood up, turned around, and put a hand out for him to grab. He took hold and she yanked him upward.

"Hey," He said, leaning down for a kiss.

She stopped him, against her own will. "Not here."

"Why?"

She tilted her head backward. He looked up and saw Gumball and Darwin in the window watching them. He sent them a death glare.

"Oh. I see. Later, then." He smiled down at her, and instead hugged her.

Y/n swore she could hear the squeals of near-teenaged boys from behind her and ignored it. Rob took her to his new home, which was surprisingly the one he used to live in- in his backstory -I mean ... when he wasn't glitchy. Y/n took a moment to wonder what he used to look like.

He started acting really shifty when Y/n mentioned that the house was the temporary home of Superintendant Evil when he was around.

"Oh- yep. He... moved away?" He shrugged and quickly went away to do something.
