So after thoroughly convincing Gumball and Darwin that she wasn't dating Rob (it was kind of annoying since Gumball was saying the wrong names half the time) Y/n sat at the dinner table to do some assigned homework. Yes, it was her first day, but you can probably guess who set it.

Yes. Miss Simian. Within five minutes of her class Y/n already could tell why exactly half the school had an aversion to her. English was tough when Miss Simian taught it, and Y/n's sort of love for it was slipping away already.

Her assignment was to read this book called 'Tip Tip Tally Ho!' and explain in some detail what happens. But as Y/n stared at the sheet her reasons to do it were becoming fewer.

"Hey, Y/n, what's up?" Anais sat next to her. "You're making a face."

"Oh, you know." Y/n gestured to her work. "Miss Simian setting me the hardest homework on my first day."

Anais looked at it for a moment. Then she smiled a little.

"Need some help?"

"Anais. You're four. You're-"

She took the book and work off me. "Give it here."

So Y/n's homework was mainly completed by Anais, but the little bunny insisted that the older girl finish the assignment off so it sounded like it didn't come from a four-year-old in pajamas. Upon looking at her jammies, Y/n pondered where Anais actually slept.

Oh well, she thought Es un misterio...

Nicole came home and they ate dinner. Y/n was poked at with questions from everywhere. How was your first day? Did you have Miss Simian? Also, what did Hotdog Guy say to you?

"He asked if I knew you." Y/n replied, putting the dirty dishes in the sink. She offered to clean up. Nicole insistently declined.

"Annnnd?" Gumball tugged on her t-shirt. "What did you say?"

She shrugged. "I said I did."

"...Ok." He disappeared. Y/n shook her head. Boys were so random at the best of times.

When they headed to bed, Gumball and Darwin stayed up to play video games on the computer- which Y/n rolled her eyes at- and Y/n excused herself to 'use the bathroom'. Not really. She crept downstairs and tried to crawl quietly past the couch without being seen. Nicole and Richard were watching something random like parents do, so they didn't even consider turning around.

Y/n pressed in the secret entrance and crawled inside. She closed it up and tiptoed down the stairs.

"Rob!" She whisper-shouted.

A single eye lit up the dark and looked up at her.

"Oh. Hey." He did something behind him.

"Hey. What're you hiding?" She went to look.

"Uh... I..."

She gasped and almost shouted, "YOU HAVE BARNEY?!"

"I... ok listen, I-"

"Dude, that's not okay." She didn't snatch it but still took it. He looked a bit sad.

"You did take Anais's from me." He mumbled.

Y/n frowned and looked at Barney, smiling as he ever does. Her heart twanged. The dude was lonely at night, you idiot!

She placed it back on his lap, and his eye lit up.

"I- really?"

She nodded. "Sure..."

He caught her expression, and thought for a moment, before mumbling. "We could share him... you know."

"What?" She blinked. "Like... both hug him at the same time? Sure."

"No, I- what?"

She wrapped her arms around both him and Barney, doing her creepy intake of breath- ok, she sniffed him, let's move on. But you can't say the girl hasn't got pluck.

After a moment, he hugged her back and rested his head tentively on top of her own. She snuggled into the hug without completely realizing it.

That. Was how. They fell. In love. Slowly, over the past two days, then all at once. Like falling asleep.

Y/n sighed contentedly. She knew now, and wouldn't deny. She loved Rob. Yeah. That fast. Crazy, right?
