//I know I updated this only today but I'm having too much fun with it! Enjoy!//

Y/n collapsed on her bed- there was a moment it shook and she was worried it too would collapse- before trying to compose herself. She could feel Gumball and Darwin's eyes burning through her as she sat up and did a breathing technique her mom had shown her to stop herself from crying.

Why did she care so much about this? That Rob considered himself not a 'close friend' that she could tell her 'little secrets' to? Maybe she was just angry for no reason. She should have kept her troubles about the t.v show short and maybe just not told him anything.

With a sniff, she turned around to see Gumball and Darwin. They were watching her, one deadpan, the other pleasantly confused.

"You okay, Y/n?" Darwin asked, and Y/n shrugged.

"Yeah. I'm fine..." It was more of a mumble than a reply, but both boys heard her.

"What did he say to you?" Gumball sighed as if this was an ongoing drama.

Y/n looked at him, surprised. "What?"

"What did- er- y'know- Rick? Say to you?"

"It's Rob," She found herself doing what Rob did- getting tetchy about Gumball and his memory lapse around Rob's name. "and that's none of your business, is it?"

He looked offended. "Isn't it?"

"No." She stood up. "I'm going to sleep on the couch. I want to be alone, thank you," She said to Darwin as he too stood up and grabbed a pillow like her.

"Ok," Gumball said, watching her apprehensively as if she'd jump at him and Darwin at any second.

"G'Night." She left the room with her pillow and duvet.

The living room was still silent and she crept onto the couch, punching her pillow and adjusting her duvet. She wasn't tired, so she made it all tedious (hard) work for herself, tutting quietly whenever something didn't seem right.

She got so pent up about it she hadn't noticed the secret entrance open and a shape appeared in the darkness. She was already settled down on the couch (sitting up, still not tired enough to sleep, mainly restless) when she felt the couch move beside her.

Rob had sat down.

There was silence for a while, they just sat not looking at each other and admiring the carpet.

Then Y/n was the first to speak (or whisper).

"I'm tired. Go away." She made her voice sound hard when she said the next line. "I only have close friends with me when I sleep. Or are we anything at all?"

That's when she looked at him. He was looking at her, but almost sadly. His figure-eight pupil was big in the darkness.

"Yes," He answered her last question. "but I don't know what."

She sighed. "I'm sorry I shouted at you."

He shrugged. "It's no big deal. I made you mad." She went to speak again but he said, "Did you really mean what you said?"

"What?" She asked, blinking at him. "That history can be re-written?"

"No..." He mumbled. "The- er- you said..." He had bright color-bars on his cheeks and it became apparent that it meant he was blushing.

"Oh. Yes. Gumball said I made goo-goo eyes at you... or something."

"Don't you think you could?" He asked. "Make goo-goo eyes at me, I mean."

"I'll do it now if it's such an issue." She said, faking the tone of sounding defeated. He shrugged.

"It's fine..." There was silence for a second. He looked at her. "Are you actually-?"

She was trying to do goo-goo eyes at him. Y'know, all endearing and loving. As she did so, her cheeks were burning. Rob was either considering to laugh or sit silently. He chuckled and then looked at her the same way. She recoiled.

"Woah- that looked so realistic- you should be an actor." She praised him.

"That's only because I wasn't acting," He admitted, then started looking away. Y/n saw her hand reach up and pull his face closer. She kissed his cheek, then let go. Of course, she wanted to properly kiss him, but they'd known each other the best of three days. But who knows how far they'd gone in their relationship at that point. Next week they'd be married with seven kids.

He looked at her with surprise. The color-bars had returned, bigger and brighter than ever. Y/n knew the goo-goo eyes she gave him now were real, and as she leaned in for a real kiss-

"WHAT THE WHAT? ROGER AND Y/N?! WHAT---" Gumball shouted. Rob disappeared- literally, and a moment later the secret entrance shut by itself. Just after he disappeared, Y/n felt a ghost of a kiss on her cheek.

"Gumball?" She tried to act surprised. "Strange meeting you here-"

His parent's bedroom door opened, and Nicole emerged, looking very cross.

"What on Earth are you doing up so late, shouting?! Get to bed, Gumball!" She turned to Y/n who slunk sheepishly into the couch. "Y/n, honey, are you okay? Why are you sleeping on the couch?"

Y/n surpressed a sigh of relief. "Getting away from the boys, that's all."

"Oh. Well, I'll get Richard to find somewhere for you to sleep tomorrow. You sure you're okay?"

Oh, mom's with their intuitiveness.

"Yes."

Nicole nodded, satisfied, and went back to bed, shutting the door again. Y/n decided to settle down under the duvet. Gumball was back in bed, and she'd nearly had her first kiss. She closed her eyes, and swore she felt a peck on her forehead after she drifted off a little.
