Chapter 9: No Strings Attached

It had been about a week since you were in the hospital in Hawaii. You had to stay on bed rest for a couple of days until they could finally get the carbon dioxide out of your body. The doctor said to stay in bed for a couple of weeks but it was Ushar's wedding and you couldn't miss that. Kylo tried to talk you out of it but you said you already told him you would go. You didn't really want to go but Ushar was now your friend and you needed to live up to your promise.

While in the hospital Kylo stayed with you the whole time, he didn't even go to the bathroom once, which was extremely weird. You told him that he could go do other things but he insisted on staying by your side. Kylo was on the phone for a very long time and you wondered why. After the call he told you that he turned Laura into the police for poisoning you. Apparently since she wasn't from The United States, they sent her back to prison in Germany. You didn't even want to think about that.

On the airplane back to New York, you were pretty pissed off. Not at Kylo since he didn't do anything, just the fact that you had now been put into danger three times by being around him. I mean it wasn't like Kylo told these girls to do this but it would be nice to have a simple fun vacation without you being stressed out or there being girls trying to kill you.

Most of the time on the plane you were still sleeping and being monitored by a nurse that came with you back to New York. On your phone you read multiple articles that had just came out about Laura and her arrest. Each one had a different story and none of them were exactly true as always. The Boys were of course being themselves, funny, annoying and loud. On the plane ride they decided to play Head's Up with each other no matter how many times you and Kylo complained that they were being too loud. The nurse even started playing.

Kylo was kind to you on the plane though. He brought you ice packs for your headache, he helped you take your medicine even though it was the whole point the nurse came with you. He even let you use him as a pillow even though his body wasn't as comfortable as one, it was a lot warmer than one. The trip was ten hours which meant he was trying to keep you occupied for ten hours. You slept for seven of those hours but that extra three he insisted on keeping you entertained.

The first hour he started watching a Marvel movie with you but you ended up falling asleep for twenty minutes in the middle of the movie. Kylo turned off the movie once you fell asleep since he wasn't even that interested in the movie. The second hour you drew a detailed flower for him that you could tell he pretended to like. You were still a little high on drugs so it probably looked like more a vomit splatter than a flower.

For the second part of the second hour you spent the whole time eating . Kylo had someone make you multiple sandwiches, cookies and little snacks like goldfish. By the end of it all there was only one sandwich left, half the goldfish bag and four cookies eaten. You offered Kylo the rest of the food but he said that he shouldn't eat something that has your saliva on it just for his safety.

You accepted it and fell asleep again for about fifteen minutes until you woke up again. The rest of the time before the plane landed you finished the movie while Kylo was sitting next to you reading a book. It was still dark outside and you tried your best to keep yourself awake the whole time until the plane landed but it was getting harder and harder with each passing minute.

Once the plane fully came to a stop you grabbed your bag full of things you would need to get dressed in the bathroom and walked slowly over there. Once you were in the room, you sat down on the closed toilet seat to stop your heading from spinning again. All the drugs in your system were really getting to and the side effects were now just hitting all at once.
