Short story: I'm posting a new book for fanfic recommendations and I would love some interaction with it :)
Long story:
Well I started this book as a seventh grader with crippling social anxiety and here I am as a junior with moderate anxiety. Baby steps, right? Well my writings gotten better but I've done very little in terms of fanfic and none ready to share. Hard to believe, I know, reading some of the low quality stuff I've written so far. I had kinda grown away from the Outsiders some, but quarantine really threw me back into it last year. (Although clearly it didn't throw all my favorite authors back into the writing habit 😡)
Well, I've read a lot of fan fiction since I was introduced to the outsiders five years ago. I feel ancient bc it's been five freaking years and I'm now older than most of the characters. I've obviously not read it all but I feel like I'm at a dead end in terms of looking for good fanfic. Tumblr is a dead end in terms of Outsiders, and fanfic.net has been sorted through many, many, many times. I do however follow a blog on tumblr called "searchingforbucky" and I love it so much bc it's a huge master list for Bucky Barnes fanfics. She's no longer active however her old posts are still up for those who are interested.
I wanted to create something like that. Here's where I'll hop on every so often and share some of my favorite outsiders fanfics for when you're looking for something good but hit a dead end like me. I also hope I can count on all of you to share your stories with me!! Please comment all your favorites or dm me if you want to do so anonymously. Please help me get out of this slump, it would be much appreciated. This is random and spontaneous and poorly executed in the middle of the night with my daunting APUSH book telling me to do my homework instead. I apologize for all the ways this will flop and fail, but I hope some of you get the same pleasure and enjoyment I did out of these fics.
