I was new in town and wasn't very good at knowing where everything is yet. I walked into the closest building, which happened to be a gas station. I was hoping the people that worked there were nice. I've learned the hard way that a lot of the people here aren't. I walked in and called out to see if someone was there.
"Hello?"
A guy walked out in a dirty wife beater and an unbuttoned, light blue shirt with the gas station logo on it. I smiled kindly and walked over to him.
"Excuse me, but I'm new in town and my sister told me to meet her at the DX. Are there any other DX gas stations around here or is this the only one? I don't know my way around hardly at all."
"Yah this is the only one. Who's your sister?"
"Mary-Jane Casanova. She's about as tall as me and has short curly brown hair. Do you know her?"
"Oh yah I know her. She's real nice." He looked up and groaned.
"Hey could you help me out with something? I would really appreciate it."
"It only seems fair since you helped me."
"Ok. This might seem weird but could you pretend to be my girlfriend?" I was shocked to say the least.
"Sure. Why me though? I'm not very believable."
"You'll be fine. The girls about to walk in won't leave me alone EVER."
"Well in that case I'll try and be as realistic as I can. What's you're name?" I asked laughing a little when I realized I knew nothing about him. Oh well.
"Sodapop. Weird huh? What's yours?"
"Madison, but my friends call me Madi."
"Well Madi would you accompany me behind the register?" He asked sticking out his arm for me to hold.
"I'd love to." I said giggling. I grabbed my arm and hooked it in his and he led me to the register. He lifted me up by my waist and put me down on the counter. The bell rang over the door and I hopped off the counter. I leaned up against Sodapop and wrapped an arm around his waist since he was so much taller than me. His arm went around my waist and pulled me close to him.
"Can I help you ladies with anything?" The looked at me like I was a criminal or something.
"I came for some Soda." The girl in the middle said, as if it was the most clever thing in the world.
"Hey Doll would you ring that up for me? I'm gonna go grab a coke for her."
"Ok hun." He kissed me on the cheek and went behind the door.
"Stay away from Soda." One girl growled.
"Sorry but he's my boyfriend. He chose me, not you. So you should really be the one backing off."
"Everything alright in here?" Soda asked as he came into the room with a bottle in his hand.
"Never better." I grinned and went to kiss his nose but he kissed my lips instead. I was blushing like crazy and was hoping the girls couldn't tell I was blushing. I was surprisingly enjoying the kiss and kissed him back. His arms found their way around my waist and we heard the door open and close. The girl had already paid so it wasn't a problem. I tried to pull away but Soda kissed me a little longer when he pulled back I was out of breath.
"What was that about?" I asked taking long deep breaths.
"I'm sorry, I really am I just- ugh. You're so pretty and nice I couldn't help it. You're different from other girls, I can tell."
"Thanks Soda. I gotta say I don't get that often."
"How can you not? You seem incredible."
"Thanks. Say my sisters pretty late. Mind if I stay around for a while before I leave?"
"If live for you to. Would you want to spend some time after I get off if your sister still hasn't showed up if you want?"
"I'd be happy to."
"Awesome. I get off at 4 we can do something then."
"Sounds good to me."
I could not stop smiling for the longest time. Our date went GREAT and he asked me out officially. Nothing could of been better.
Man you guys I'm so sorry. My writing STINKS. My Harry Potter book has been so neglected and I feel bad for everyone reading that book but this book has to many drafts to even THINK of starting back on that one. Schools getting out soon but I'm not sure that'll mean I'll be writing more. I'm going to be working/going to camps a lot, have family coming in town, family vacation, summer homes work, etc. I love you guys don't get me wrong I love writing for y'all I just feel bad it takes ages to get it all up. Thank you everyone who is patient enough to go through all this junk. ❤️
