Part 35 "Caught Red-Handed"

MINA'S POV

I just send my regards to Chaeyoung for Dahyun as we were informed that he will be going to the States to study again. I don't know what really happened to him and Sana, because definitely, Sana can't even say a thing about them. I also noticed that Momo and Sana are barely talking these few days. What's with those two?

I informed Chaeyoung that I will go to my parent's house. It's been a month since I didn't return here, that's because of that Bambam's and dad's pretentious act.

When I arrived at the place, I told our maids not to say to my parents that I visited the place. They can't easily see me though. This house is really big.

I go first at the garden where my mom usually staying. I didn't came closer and just look what's her doing. And nothing as usual too. She's just talking again to her lovey dovey flowers to grow more while watering them. I just chuckled and exited not to bother their heart to heart talk.

Then, I went up to the 2nd floor where I'm about to pass the library room, besides my dad's personal office. I notice the door is slightly opened so I decided to peek. I heard two voices of a man talking.

Maybe Dad and his business partners again? I was about to walk away when I heard Chaeyoung's name. Then, I go closer again and hid at the back of the door.

"I think that Son Chaeyoung is having difficulties right now. He can't even know who's to blame all the casualties happening in his properties. Also, the damages are too big, I bet he's running out of money to compensate it all. Hahaha."

It's my dad's voice. And w-wait, casualties in his properties? How does he know what happened to Chaeng's coffee shop and car? Is it because of him?

"Don't worry Mr. Myoui, there's more to come. I'll make sure you'll never regret having me taking care all the doings." The other man's voice said.

"Good job Mr. Vernon. You're making me way too proud. I'll just wire you the payment later."

"Sure, Mr. Myoui. I can wait. So, just stay tune for the other happenings?" The other man's voice asked.

"Yeah, I'll be on the right track Mr. Vernon. You may now go."

This can't be happening. All those are my father's doings. I gripped the jacket I'm wearing today. I didn't even thought that Dad could reach at this point. He's inflicting Chaeyoung this much.

I gathered all my courage to front them. I want to confront my dad right now.

"What's the meaning of all this dad?"  I ragingly asked as they were both a liitle bit shocked by my presence.

"How long did you hear Mina?" my father asked as he looked at that Vernon.

"I heard it all. So don't ever try to reconstruct your stories and just anwer my damn questions!" I yelled at him. I don't care if he's my father.

"Mr. Vernon, you may go now." My father said and that man stood up and about to exit his way when I blocked him.

"You will stay here." I firmly said.

"I said go now, Mr. Vernon. Don't mind my daughter."

"And I said just stay the fuck up." I hurriedly push that Vernon and locked the door.

Then, I came closer to him and look for his watch. Until I found it. Same watch we've seen on the cctv footage. I took it off and keep it.

"What are you even doing Miss? That's mine." Vernon said to Mina.

"No, it's already mine. Now, get lost."

Then, Vernon looked at Mr. Myoui and spoke.

"I didn't know that you have a weird daughter Mr. Myoui. See you next time." Vernon said and left the two.

"Why are you doing this to Chaeyoung dad? What did he done to you to receive such treatment like this?!" I freakingly screaming out.

Chaeyoung never deserved this.

"What have he done to me? Simple, he ruined your life Mina. He's the reason why you ended up in a coma. I don't want you to be with him again! You're my daughter and you're so precious to me  that's why I'm doing all this for your sake!"

"No, dad. Even I can't remember, it's no one's fault why I got into an accident. Don't blame it all to him dad. You don't know him. He's a good and kind hearted man that's why I love him." I said as my tears really falling.

"You're the one who don't know him Mina. He cheated on you remember? See for yourself." He shrugged.

"If you're forcing yourself to be with that man, I will never stop destroying him until he's the one to decide to leave you alone. I will give him more hardships so that he can realize he's not the one for you. Do you want it?" He added. 

As the time I've heard it, I felt my legs shakened. I hold onto the arms of the chair beside me.

"Now, choose. Break up with him or want him to suffer more?"

Is he really my father? Why does he keep wanting me to hurt like this? Chaeyoung cheated on me? I didn't have the chance to ask it personally but I trust Chaeyoung. He'll never do that to me.

"I need your answer Mina." my father's threatening me right now.

I stood up and wipe my tears. I don't want to be the reason why Chaeyoung will be miserable again. I'm doing it because I love him. I really love him.

I don't have a choice, but if it's him, I'll do everything so that he can't suffer any pain anymore. He waited for me for a very long time and now, I want him to stop. I want to return the favor at least, to go on with his life and be happy. Because as long as I'm with him, he'll never be safe and at peace.

Chaeng, you will understand me, right?

I'm very sorry. And remember, that no one can ever replace you in my heart.
