plot:
IN THE MIDST of aiding Mr. Miyagi opening for his own bonsai shop, Daniel comes across the floral escape only a few blocks away. Remembering the company to be family-owned the sight of the big business appearance surprised him when examining it inside. Briefly inside when asking when they expanded like this he comes across the owner's daughter, Darcy, who was taking the extra year between her first year of college to spend time at home before going out of state. Mentioning his own struggle of trying to help Mr. Miyagi she offers to see what she can do leading for the two to slowly form a friendship. Even with Darcy not knowing much of Daniel's past let alone the threats that would follow from a prospect by the name of Mike Barnes that would threaten him into entering in the All-Valley Tournament again.
notes:
• imo this movie has the same themes of the first film so if Barnes ends up being another iteration of Johnny i wouldn't mind it but the two of distinctive still from him being more of a hassle to deal with (again imo aha)
• ^a lot more vandalism happened with him along with the fact that he tried to reconcile with Daniel only for this to end in a betrayal
• the nightclub scene that happens in the film should be included because Darcy hasn't seen that side of Daniel and in general throughout this will not see why they're making such a big deal about something like a karate tournament
• they start off as friends first and slowly build a relationship after that and then get closer through both Barnes hassling both of them, since Darcy made herself known at the wrong time in the midst of him trying to get LaRusso, and then the two of them helping with Mr. Miyagi's shop
• potential side-plot of Darcy's family business being run by a big company and Daniel trying to help them become independent again with their shop to return to bring family-owned
• Daniel will assume that she wants to take up the business and that it would be relayed to what she's studying but she's actually an artist
• ^cue like a moment of her showing him her studio and it's filled of a lot of still-life water color paintings which ends up being an important moment for them
