plot:
GROWING UP in Hawkins, Indiana was about as more dull than anyone could ever think it to be. Aside from perhaps her midnight adventures on her bike riding as far as she could before her curfew called her back home, Delilah spent most of her time hanging around her main confidante. This being none-other-than the perfect girl next door that was Nancy Wheeler. Practically opposites in every respect, neither of the girls saw this in their youth and simply carried on knowing they had the other whenever something was wrong. Such was the problem with the innocence of youth, some things couldn't always be so perfect.
The transition from high school saw the end of their friendship. Whether it was Delilah now going by the name of Jett and hanging around a group her friend thought was one fire away from commuting arson, or the fact she barely looked at her in the halls now. Either way the two were left to be nothing but stranger until, as if to be as cheesily cinematic as could be, stumbling upon one another the night before Halloween on Delilah's quest to find a good pumpkin to carve.
song inspiration:
• secrets by the runaways
• raw power by the stoogesnotes:
• not a fan of Steve Harrington but they eventually warm up to each other
• gave herself the nickname Jett, obvi and people just introduce her by this name
• only lets nancy call her Delilah
• she's a v. protective person and still had the soft image of Nancy from when they were growing up because that's what she's used to
• her and eleven have a soft relationship and she gave her her own leather jacket so they could match 🥺
• says she hates all of the kids but would also scream at someone if they harmed a hair on their heads
• wants to work in the music industry but is tone deaf and has taken up every instrument but it just never came to her
• also some musical artists from the 80s to fit her character aesthetic: All About Eve, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and The Clash
