plot:
AUGUST 25th, 1931. With the opening of a misleading soup kitchen and the arrest of a man on the bad side of gang boss, Kid Tannen, Mary finds herself becoming too interested in yet another case. Serving extra time on their school's newspaper for the coverage of the Hill Valleh Science expo, the young sleuth instead finds another case to uncover. Almost two months prior Mary runs her own coverage on the the rumors of a speakeasy inside of the soup kitchen. A piece that was meant to be her own personal search leading to an involvement with a teenager attempting to help a man by the name of Carol Sagan escape from being wrongfully committed.
