December 25, 1998

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy birthday, happy birthday" Everyone sang. "Happy birthday ja-ade" I giggled. 

"Thank you," I said as I cut the cake in front of me. "And Merry Christmas!" 

Today's my birthday! I'm so happy that I get to spend it with family. Hazel, Enzo, and Blaise. 

"Okay, the moment everyone's been waiting for," I said. "Gifts!" We all ran into the living room and began opening our gifts. Our gifts weren't as good as they used to be because we lived in an isolated village but that was okay. 

Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I shot Blaise and Enzo a weird look and then went to open the door. 

"Hi!" Liv said. "happy birthday" 

"Liv?" I said. Liv was here?! Right in front of my eyes! And so were Ginny and George and Fred. "What're you guys doing here?" 

"It's your birthday, Jade," Liv said. "Of course we would be here" 

"Look what I got!" Hazel said as she ran towards me. "A new Barbie!" Everyone was shocked. 

"Jade?" Liv said. "What?!" 

"No. NO," I said. "Come inside I'll explain everything" They walked in to be more surprised at who I was living with. Blaise and Enzo waved awkwardly as I led them to my room. 

"Hazel and her parents were our neighbors. They would abuse her and one day they left her all alone and she lives with us now" 

"What is this us?" Ginny said. "You're seriously living with them?" 

"You don't get a say on this!" I said. "None of you do! So stop with the judgey eyes! You're the one who called me a heartless bitch!"

"Jade we're just concerned about you," George said. 

"Why? You didn't care when you all left" I said. "Now you're concerned!" 

"You're living with two assholes and a probably crazy child," Fred said. "We have all the right to concerned" I slapped Fred in rage. 

"Never insult My family" I spat. "And just leave" 

"Jade we're sorry! That's why we came here" Fred said. 

"And we have so much to tell you!" Liv said as she held Ginny's hand. 

"What?! Oh my god!" I said. "You two?!" They nodded their heads as I embraced them. "I'm sorry for being a psychotic, heartless bitch" 

"You're not," George said as I hugged him. I looked at Fred and smiled awkwardly and then turned back to Liv and Ginny. 

We went downstairs and caught up on our lives. 

"So, do you still have feelings for Fred?" Liv asked. 

"Actually no. I've just not had the time to think about him," I said. "And I'm happy I don't" We sipped on our coffees and continued to talk. "But when did you guys happen?" 

"In France, I told Ginny I had feelings for her, and boom," Liv said. 

"I'm so happy for you guys! Have you been home yet?" I asked. They nodded. "How is everyone?" 

"Good, they've been hiding underground," Fred said as he joined in our conversation. 

"Well I'm gonna go check up on lunch," I said as I stood up. I did not want to be there with him. It was already like it, I didn't want it to be even more awkward. 

I placed the Fried rice in a serving bowl, the Fish on a serving plate, and the potato salad in another serving bowl. Everyone sat around the dining table(Enzo beside me) and began eating. 

"I hope this enough," I said as I began eating. 

"So how's everyone at home?" Blaise asked. 

"They're good" Fred responded. "How's everything here?" 

"Good" Blaise responded. 

"Excuse me," I said as I got up. It was getting too awkward. 

"So how are you?" Fred said. I jumped a bit. 

"Good um h-how about you?" I answered. 

"Good" He answered. "So dating anyone," He asked as he put his hands in his pocket. 

"No, you?" I answered. This conversation was just made more awkward. 

"Yeah" He answered. 

"Oh, what's her name?" I asked. I was not expecting that. 

"Julia" Fred replied. 

"Is she a muggle?" I asked. 

"No. I met her in Spain" Fred said. 

"That's great!" I spoke. I was not expecting him to answer yes. I've definitely moved on but it's hard seeing your ex move on faster than you. 

"You know 2 hours ago I didn't expect you to be a mom and would be living with Blaise and Enzo," Fred said. 

"Nobody would have" I giggled. 

"Hazel, how old is she?" Fred asked. 

"She's four" I answered. "She's a blessing in disguise. Ever since Enzo got his mark, she's the only thing that's made him happy" 

"Enzo what?" He spat. "His mark?"

"Oh he got his mark," I said. 

"Oh," Fred was shocked. "So how long do you plan on staying here?" 

"I'm really not sure" I answered. "We're just going with the flow" 

"It's nice to see you again," He said. 

"Right back at ya buddy," I said as I walked away. I sat back down and continued eating. 

Did I really say, buddy?! I'm so stupid. Buddy?! Who says, Buddy?!

"Thank you so much for having us," Liv said as she put on her shoes. 

"You guys should really stay longer" I persuaded. 

"We really need to get going," Ginny said. "Mum will kill us" 

"Send her my regards," I said as I held up Hazel. She was exhausted terribly. She was fighting the urge not to sleep because she was excited that people were over. 

"I'm going to miss you guys," I said as I embraced Liv. "Keep visiting" 

"We'll try," Fred said. He leaned in for a hug but instead he got a high five! 

"Try not to make it so awkward," Enzo said. I giggled as I walked them out. 

"Good night" I waved goodbye as their car flew off into the sky. 

"I'm going to put her to bed," I said as I pointed to Hazel. I walked upstairs and tucked Hazel into bed. I waited until she fell asleep and went back downstairs to find the boys cleaning up. 

"So," I said as I crashed onto the couch. 

"Soo," Enzo said as he crashed on the couch beside me. 

"Good night," Blaise said as he jogged up the stairs. 

"Today was awkward," I said as Enzo laid his head on my lap. 

"Very," He said as I played with his hair. 

"At least I got to meet Liv and Ginny again," I said. 

"And Fred" He chuckled. 

"And Fred" I mimicked. We both laughed. 

"I am so sleepy," I said. My eyes were shutting.

"Then sleep," Enzo said. I shut my eyes and drifted to sleep.
