𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘮𝘢𝘴

It had been a 4 days since I visited Enzo in the hospital. Today was Christmas day also my birthday. I woke up excited and ran over to wake up Fred. I ran towards him and shook him.

"Wake up Fred its Christmas!" I said. He got up and flipped me over. I was now on his bed and he was on top of me.

"Merry Christmas" Fred said. He came closer. "And happy birthday" He got up and walked away.

Why does he have to do that?

I walked down the stairs in shock of what just happened. Everyone was happy. I put a smile on my face.

"Happy Birthday Jade" Everyone said kind-of in synch.

"Thank you," I said hugging everyone. Once I had gotten to Fred it was pretty awkward. I hugged him and pulled away quickly.

I got a Christmas sweater with my initial on it, a book from Arthur, A blue dress from Liv, and a t-shirt from Ginny. Ron, Harry, Fred and George got me a "Joint gift" It was a beautiful necklace with my initial. I loved the gifts! I hugged everyone and I was entirely grateful to have friends and family like them.

They loved the gifts I had gotten them.

"Now time for breakfast" Molly said walking towards the kitchen. "Jade gets to have the first pancake since its her special day" Molly added. I smiled and sat down. Everyone ate breakfast peacefully and happily.

After breakfast ended, Molly and I cleaned up a bit.

"Molly if its ok with you can we go to the hospital after lunch?" I asked her awaiting her answer.

I knew Fred and George were off age to use their magic outside of Hogwarts but I just preferred to ask Molly for help.

"Of course my dear" She said smiling. I walked up the stairs to the room to get ready.

"Hey Jade" Fred said holding up a box. It was tiny. "I got you a gift" He said as he handed the box to me.

"Thank you" I said. I opened it. It was a ring. It wasn't real silver or a real diamond but I still loved it. It was very thoughtful. "Wow this is beautiful" I said admiring it.

"Its not real but the message behind it is" He said. "I wanted to ask if you'd like to um be my girl friend" He said smiling.

"Fred I-" I was speechless. "No,"

"Oh," Fred responded. He didn't expect that. But what was he even expecting?

Did I do the right thing? Why does this have to be so confusing?

"Fred what happened between us, it's nothing" I reminded him. "Please let's keep it that way."

Fred nodded his head. "Yeah, yeah, I'm sorry" He left the room.

Afterwards, the room was empty so I changed into fresh clothes. One of Enzo's dark green sweaters and sweatpants. I brushed through my hair and went downstairs for lunch.

"So what are we doing this lovely afternoon?" Arthur said munching on his sandwich.

"I will be with Jade. Ginny and Liv will be preparing our Christmas dinner" Molly said.

"Harry and I are going to do some homework" Ron said sighing.

"Fred and I are going to be cleaning the garden" He said imitating Molly.

"I am going to visit Enzo" I said hesitantly.

"Oh" Fred said disappointedly.

"Just for a while." I said. We finished lunch and I got up to leave.

Molly apparated me to the hospital.

"Blaise can I see him?" I said walking up to Blaise. He nodded his head.

"happy birthday" He said.

"How'd you know?" I asked surprised.

"Enzo told me" He said awkwardly. I walked into the room. He was sleeping peacefully. I sat down on the chair beside his bed and waited patiently for him to wake up. While waiting, I read my book. Well my Mom's.

"Just like us" Enzo said as he woke up. I looked at him and smiled.

"Morning," I said jokingly.

"Happy birthday" He said smiling. "Happy Christmas too"

"Happy Christmas" I said.

"Why are you visiting me?" Enzo asked confused.

"Well I thought I'd see how you were doing" I said looking into his eyes. Enzo was still and will forever be the first person I have ever actually loved.

"I think I-" I said getting up. Enzo held my hand and pulled me into a kiss. I missed that. I kissed him back.

"Enzo" I said pulling away. "What the fuck,"

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I love you. Is that what you want to hear?" I told him. "Because I can't. You've broken my heart already. I cant let my self go through the pain again" I said leaving the room.

"What's wrong dear" Molly said pulling me into a hug. I hugged her and pulled away after a minute.

I walked towards the door but by mistake over-heard Enzo talking to Blaise.

"She said she doesn't want to go through the pain again" Enzo said. "I messed up"

"She did?" Blaise asked confused.

"I've never felt that way about anyone before" Enzo said. "I love her a lot and that night I didn't mean for that to happen. Daphne was drunk and was looking for you Blaise. She saw me and through her self at me. I would never do that to Jade. I love her too much" He said.

"Its not me you have to tell" Blaise said. "Its her" He said leaving the room. He saw me but I put my finger on my lips and nodded my head no.

"Don't," I whispered. I walked into the room.

"Enzo I'm dating Fred" I lied. "If its ok with you, maybe we can be friends?" I suggested.

"Um, yeah. Of course" He said disappointedly. I know that's not what he wants but I had to.

"Can you read that book to me?" Enzo asked. I nodded my head, sat beside him and read Romeo and Juliet to him.

It had been almost 2 hours since I had been reading to him. I stuck my head out of my book to find Enzo peacefully sleeping. I kissed his forehead and walked out the room.

"Let's go" I told Molly. She smiled and apparated us back to the burrow.
