𝘌𝘹𝘤𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘮𝘦?

Monday 

It had been a day since Enzo and I decided to give our relationship a second chance. We hadn't told anyone yet. My fever was gone too because Madame Pomfrey cured me. 

I woke up, got ready for class, and walked to class. 

"Ah Miss Allen, Professor Dumbledore would like to see you in his office" Professor Mcgonagall said. "Right now" I smiled and nodded. 

Why does Dumbledore want to see me? Did I do something wrong? I guess I'll have to go to find out. 

I walked into his office. 

"You asked to see me professor" I said. 

"Ah Yes" Dumbledore said. "As you know your mother Dalhia Lovegood also went to school here at Hogwarts" I nodded. "Your mother was left alone when your father had left. Is that right?" 

"Yes" I said. My father was a topic I didn't particularly discuss. I hated him. 

"Would you like to know more about him?" Dumbledore asked. 

"I'd love to" I said. 

"His name is Remus Lupin" Dumbledore stated. "He's here right now if you'd like to meet him?"

"Excuse me?" I said

My father's name was Remus Lupin? Why did that sound so familiar? 
Oh my god! Harry, Ron and Hermione always talked about him and Sirius Black! Apparently he was the defense against the dark arts teacher in our 3rd year. I wasn't there because Luna and I weren't allowed to go to Hogwarts. Uncle Xeno would like to get drunk then abuse us. Luna and I were mostly always in pain and in no condition to go to school. 

"Jade?" Remus Lupin said. "Wow you look so much like Dalhia" He walked into the light and sat down beside me. I didn't look at him. I was too mad to even talk. 

"I'll give you both some privacy" Dumbledore said as he walked out the door of his office. 

"Jade, I know its hard for you to talk to me after circumstances" Remus said. "But please just say something" He pleaded

"What do you expect me to say?" I spat. "That I hate you? Or that you left my mother, who loved you very much, when she needed you the most? Or that you are a disgusting man for leaving me?" 

"Jade" Remus said. "You need to understand my situation at the time. When I was a child, I was attacked by a werewolf, Fenrir Greyback. As a result, I was afflicted with Lycanthropy for life" 

"Lycanthropy is the state in which a finds him or herself: that of turning into a fearsome and deadly near-wolf" Professor Snape said. 

"I didn't want your mom to think that I could be a threat to her and our baby, Jade. I was scared" Remus pleaded. 

"No! She needed you. I needed you!" I screamed. Tears pooled my eyes. "I needed you" 

"Its my fault" Remus said. "I should've stayed" He leaned in for a hug and so did I. I was hugging my dad. Wow. 

After a minute or two, We both pulled away from the hug. Remu- My dad wiped my tears. 

"How's Dahlia?" My dad asked. This question. This made me cry more.

"You- You do-don't know?" I said as I cried heavily. "She- she's go-gone"

"What?" Dad said. "How? Why!" 

"Cancer. When I was 2" I said sniffling. "You know how hard it was for me? I had to live with my uncle. Not you because you weren't there!" I wiped my tears as they kept falling. 

"Let me make it up to you. How about in the summer you come stay with me" Dad said. 

"Really?" I responded as tears still fell.

"Of course".  "Thank you so much Jade for talking to me"

"Well, this is the first time I'm meeting you, my dad" I said. I wiped my tears quickly. "I should get going now. I have potions" 

"Yes, Yes of course" Dad said. "See you during the summer" I smiled and walked out of Dumbledore's office. 

I always thought my dad left because he didn't want me but the truth is that he was scared? he was worried that him being a werewolf would affect my upbringing? One thing that really affected me was him leaving.
