Narrators POV:
The (h/c) walked down the street in the pouring rain looking out for puddles in front of her feet.
It was 10 am and yet barely any people were out there. So far the young lady's day was terrible.
First John and her mom decided to move in together so now the man who made a move on her not even 2 months ago will live under the same roof as her, next her headphones broke when she tugged on it's string too harshly on the verge of an anxiety attack.
And now she's caught soaking wet in the rain.'I swear this day just keeps getting worse' she bitterly thought to herself as she oh so luckily located the biggest puddle in her way with her foot.
A sigh broke out of the shivering girl as she picked up her pace even more.
Finally, the small shops coffin shaped sign met her eyes signaling the woman that she has arrived at her destination.
Pushing the creaky crème colored door open she noted that the place was packed with people looking for a shelter from the rain.
Feeling her insides tying themselves into a knot she took a step further inside.
(Y/N) was never good with big crowds due to her enochlophobia. As quietly and unnoticeably as possible she directed her steps towards the counter.
“Oh, hi. Nice to see you again” Martha flashed her a gentle smile.
“So…what'll it be today?”
“Umm... I actually only came because I promised Deus to help test the new cake...” The younger woman explained feeling slightly uncomfortable.“Oh… sorry deary, but then you'll have to wait till the rush is over.
He's a bit busy now dealing with the tremendous amount of orders we received in such a small amount of time.”
“Oh, then I don't want to be a bother... I'll just come back later” she said turning on her heel ready to leave.“Wait! You can't go out into such a heavy rainfall!
Just sit down on one of the barstools over there.
As soon as the downpour stops the shop will empty out leaving all of us more time” the middle-aged blonde said as she gestured over to the seating accommodations to the left of her.(Y/n) nodded as she started walking towards them eyes strictly remaining on her goal.
After the short trip full of her apologies towards the strangers who bumped into her, she finally sat down and began her waiting which ended up taking longer than any of them expected.
After more than a whole hour the shower which caught, so many people off guard finally ceased Martha's prophecy came true.
The people one by one started pouring out through the doorway leaving the shop with only 5 costumers.
An elderly couple, a middle-aged businessman lost in his files, a sleeping teenager and (Y/N).After, a few minutes of pure undisturbed silence a slightly familiar head of short black hair peeked out through the kitchen doors.
Deus ran his gaze over the selling area until his amber orbs caught the (e/c) eyed girls dripping form.
'What is she doing here? ' He thought to himself.A part of him felt like he forgot something which he couldn't remember. As he turned back to the ingredients the memory of the request from yesterday smacked him in the face.
'Right, the cake!'
He spun back around on his heel walking out of his work area. The (h/c) didn't notice him yet as he made his way over to her.
'fuck... What am I supposed to say?' he thought to himself when he was barely a few meters away from her.
