Next Day at MPT, HM was engrossed in some work. Ashok was sent to the rehab center and there was finally some peace in the Thana… “MS kya hum andar aa sakte hai?” KS asked. HM looked at the direction of the voice, “Are KS aapko permission leneki kya jarurat hai… aaiye… baithiye… Boliye kuch kaam tha??” “Woh… Hum aapse Sorry kehen aaye the.” HM gave her a quizzical look. “Humari wajah se aapko Anu bhaiyya se itna sunna pada… Hamara galti tha, Humko aapka baat pehle hi maan jana chahiye tha…” “Koi baat nahi KS… Isme aapki galti nahi hai.” “Lekin Anu Bhaiyya ko aapko sabke samne aise nahi dantna chahiye tha… Pata nahi kya ho gaya hai unko??” HM remembered yesterday’s incident… Tears threatening to appear… But she quickly recovered “Woh humare senior hai KS… galti hone par daant sakte hai… Koi baat nahi…” “Aap kaise itna shaant reh leti hai?? Humko kabhi kabhi samajh nahi aata hai… yoga voga karti hai ka aap??” HM chuckled “KS… Agar ehsaas bayan ho jate lafzon se, Toh kaha hoti tarif khamoshiyon Ki...” “Matlab…??” confusion written all over KS’s face. “Kabhi kabhi chup rehna sahi hota hai… Tajurba kehta hai humara… Shant rehne se situation ka haal asani se mil jata hai… aur galti honeki gunjaish kam ho jati hai…” “Ye baatein humare paalle nahi padti hai MS” HM smiled “Rehne dijiye… Jo file humne aapko ready karne ko kahi thi woh ready ho gayi? Aaj Headquarters pohchani hai…” “Ji MS… Bas aapke signatures baki hai… Uske baad Cheeta jake de aayega” “Thik hai… aap file le aaiye hum sign kar dete hai” “Ji…” KS left the cabin to get the file.
After signing the file, HM got engrossed in her work again. Her work had become her recluse… It helped her to forget her pain, at least temporarily. Her desk phone rang. “Hello!” “Haseena Malik se baat ho rahi hai??” “Ji hum Haseena Malik bol rahe hai… Aap kon?” “Hum Anubhav ki Maa bol rahe hai.” HM was shocked to receive a call from AS’s mother. “Boliye na aunty ji… abhi kaisi tabiyat hai aapki?” HM asked. “Hum kafi behtar mehsus kar rahe hai abhi.” “Yeh toh bohot achi baat hai.” “Haseena beta… Kya aapke pas thoda samay hai?” Maa asked. “Ji aunty… boliye na…” “Kya aap humse milne aa sakti hai? Hume aapse kuch baat karni hai.” Maa replied. HM was a bit reluctant. “Aunty ji woh…” “Jyada samay nahi lenge aapka…” HM had to agree, “Thik hai… Hum duty ke baad aa jayenge.” “Dhanyawad beta. Rakhte hai.” “Ji”, the call ended but a new question poked its head in HM’s mind. Why did Maa want to meet her?
At the headquarters, AS’s condition was getting worst. “Is tarah se kaam karte hai?? Dhyan kaha hai aapka… Humne aapse kya kaha tha aur aapne kya kiya hai… abhi humari shakal kya dekh rahe hai… Jaiye!!” he roared while throwing the file on his table. The poor constable was his 5th victim of the day. He chugged down a glass of water but that didn’t cool him down. He was struggling… with his feelings… with unanswered questions... with his thoughts…
He had not slept for 3 days in a row and it was taking toll on him. Every time he closed his eyes, he could see HM’s face. All the memories kept flashing like a movie. When he tried to forget them, HM’s calm eyes, Ammi’s words, HM’s presence in his house poked their head out… He wanted to concentrate on his work but to no avail… For first time in his life, he didn’t know what exactly was happening with him. Every day, every moment came with either a surprise, a shock or a question. What was HM upto? Why didn’t she tell her mother the truth? Was she plotting something?? “Haseena ji aisa nahi kar sakti… Koi kaaran hoga jo unhone Ammi se satya chupaya hoga” he tried to explain himself… but was he convinced?? He was good at handling his emotions… keeping them in check. But he had forgotten the fact, to control your emotions you need to make peace with them. Here he was denying his feelings… He was hell bent on naming his love for HM as guilt for betraying her. How was he going to find peace??
He was driving home… He thought music would soothe him… so he had switched on the radio.
“Ho Hasne Na Denge Tumhein… Rone Na Denge
Pal Pal Baad Yaad Aayenge… Sone Na Denge
Na Yaqeen Kisi Pe Bhi… Tum Kabhi Kar Paoge
Kuch Is Tarah Se Tumko… Dil Hi Dil Mein Tod Denge” poured out. As if his brain had decided to not let him forget HM, her face flashed in front of his eyes. His anger rose and he switched the radio off.
His stars were not in his favour… He saw HM exiting his residence. Just when she was about to sit in her car, he halted his car beside her… his tyres screeching. She saw him getting out of the car… it seemed as if he would explode with anger any moment… and he did…
“Aap yaha kya kar rahi hai??” “Hum woh…” He didn’t let her complete… “Kya chahti hai aap?? Kyu peche padi hai humare?? Aapse humne kaha na ke humne aapse kabhi pyaar nahi kiya… toh samajh kyu nahi jati aap?? Kyu aapne Ammi se jhoot bol rahi hai…?? Kyu aa rahi hai bar bar humare ghar?? Humari Maa ko humare viruddh bhadkana chahti hai ya koi aur mansha hai aapki?? Kahi aap Maa ke jariye hume vivah ke liye majboor karneka toh nahi soch rahi…?? Hum bata rhe hai aapko… humari Maa ko iss sab se dur rakhiye….”
His words moved like a sword on her heart… Did he think so lowly of her?? Had her never tried to understand her???Hey guys... I have tried something new... used a song reference... Let me know if you guys like it or not... Else I will not use it next time...
