_____________________________ I woke up, I was very excited for today. I fixed up my hair and combed my tail. I made sure that I looked presentable. I threw on my usual clothes which was a black t-shirt, and a pair of black jeans. I threw the brown coat in the back of the wagon and rallied up the horses.
"Good morning!! Dawn and Night!!" I said petting the horses head. I combed their hair a bit before loading them up. Dawn was a golden and brown haired horse. She was one of the slower ones but she was doing her best. And then the black haired and black coated horse was Night, he was more of a faster stallion, he was much bigger than Dawn but was a sweetheart at best.
I saddled them up and hooked them up to the wagon. My mom came out to load the money and food we planned to trade. She set me off and told me to make sure I was safe.
I made my way into the forest. I rode on Night because he was the stronger one, into the forest. It was getting cold, but I remembered the brown coat that I was given by the blond boy in the woods. A part of me wishes to see him again and another part of me thought he was cute. AHH SHUT UP Y/n we are meant to be enemy's and I'm sorry but I wish to not be burned at the stake. Just get the goods and come home. It's a 2 day journey you got this, and just forget about him!! I rambled to the horses.
The horses just looked at me like I was crazy. We rode on and I saw a little fox on the road. I got off the horse because it looked to be injured.
The fox had his leg caught in a bear trap.
"Aww you poor thing, who would've done this to you" I said it was very much scared but I walked slowly so it wouldn't find me intimidating.
"Hey it's ok" I said I examined the bear trap. My mom had taught me how to take them off if I ever got caught in one or if the horses did.
I grabbed the bear trap and tried to pull it open. It was really in there. The poor foxes leg was drenched in blood it was fresh too so it wasn't trapped for very long. I decided to grab a stick. I lodged it in there after I managed to put my hand in there. I pulled it out, and managed to get set the fox free. But it's leg was still very bloody. I grabbed some cloth from my shirt and ripped it. I wrapped it around the foxes leg along with a stick so it would walk.
It still couldn't move. I picked it up. It whimpered but I fed it a couple berries from the bushes that were planted behind it. It calmed down.
I loaded it into the wagon behind me. It seemed to have gained my trust. I decided to name it Fiona. I pet her head and made sure that she was bandaged correctly. And then we made our way on the road.
________________________________ It was getting quiet dark when I heard a rustle in the road. I figured it was another animal but it had the same smell as that one time when I met the boy in the woods. I stopped in the road, but a part of me hoped it was the Tommy boy I had met.
But I knew I was ok when a red wing popped out from the woods.
"Hello again!!" Said the boy that I had met already 2 times.
"Hello, what are you doing here" I asked calming the horses down.
"Oh I just heard some horses and so I came to see who it was and it was you" said Tommy he was obviously cold and was using his wings as a jacket.
"Are you cold?" I asked. He shook his head but I wasn't convinced. I signaled him to come over.
"Here" I said handing him the coat he had given me.
"No you need it more than I do" he said handing the jacket back. I shook my head.
"What happened to your shirt?" He asked concerned.
I pointed to the fox that was sat on my lap.
"She was trapped in a bear trap" I said, Tommy looked at her leg which was still very bloody.
"Is it ok?" He asked. I nodded I tried to cover up the fact that I was cold.
"You look cold, please take it" I shook my head 'no'.
"No I insist you will die out here if you don't" he said.
"The sans will happen to you, I have extra clothes I am fine, take it and I'll be on my way" I said signaling my horses to go. He just stood by the side and watched as I rode off slowly on my trip.
I tried to keep my mind off the cold as I made way through my trip. My breath was hot but it was still cold. My lips were dry. I was tired but I knew if I fell asleep I would die.
My eye lids were getting heavy. And my horses were getting tired. I then drifted off. I had accepted my fate.
