17: Desert temple

The wall opened to reveal the treasure room. I walked in.

"How do we get in?" Tommy asked.

"Techno said we had to go down" I said. Tommy nodded. I chipped away to the bottom.

"Wait there is a pressure plate" said Tommy pointing to the center of the treasure room.

"We are going to have to dodge it. Can you glide us down there" I asked. Tommy nodded. He grabbed my waist and slowly glided down.

"We should take this" I said picking up the pressure plate.

"Agreed, what was it connected to?" Asked Tommy. I shrugged my shoulder.

"Why don't we find out" I said digging right under. My eyes widened.

"What was it?" Asked Tommy.

"Dynamite.." I said. Thank god Tommy had glided down rather than jump.

"We should collect this for later" I said pocketing the dynamite. I forgot to remember what we came here for.

"The chests" I said. There were 4 along each wall. Tommy nodded.

I opened the in that was behind me, I heard a door open. I turned around. A crowd of zombies came. I pulled out my bow and arrow and Tommy pulled out his sword.

Me and Tommy put our backs together. Tommy slashed the ones that came in front and I shot a couple in the heads.

Tommy slashed the one that was in front of him. I grabbed three arrows and shot the zombies. 5 more came out on my side.

"How you doing over there?" Asked Tommy. As he cut off the head of a zombie. He had 6 more on his side.

"Ok doing good" I said and shot one in the head. Tommy killed 2 more. There was 8 more to go through.

I grabbed another 3 arrows and shot the last 3, my side was clear. I turned over to Tommy's side. He had 3 more.

I shot one in the head and Tommy slashed the second one. And I shot the last one.

"Are you ok?" I asked Tommy nodded. Us both were trying to catch our breath.

"Ok we should loot these chests" Tommy said. I nodded and I opened my chest. It had, a collection of emeralds and sand. I saw a shiny figure of the side of the chest. I picked it up.

It was a book, that was dusty but shiny. It was enchanted, I knew it was what we needed. I blew on the cover. And opened it. It read Water Protection III.

"TOMS!!" I said, Tommy ran over to me.

"Yeah?" Tommy asked concerned. I pointed to the book, and Tommy's eyes widened.

"Is it what I think it is?" Asked Tommy, I nodded.

"Yup, we just need one more" I said Tommy nodded and looked in the other chests.

"HERE!!" Said Tommy holding up another glowing book. Then we heard a couple of foot steps. I readied my bow and arrow. Then I heard a familiar voice.

"Well well, you found it fast" said techno, I nodded.

"Sup techno" I said.

"Hallooo" he said. I chuckled.

"We found them" I said, techno and tubbo nodded.

"How are we going to get out?" Asked tubbo.

"There is an exit this way" techno said signaling his. We all nodded and followed. We went back into the dark and Tommy grabbed my hand again, which caught me off guard.

"This way" said techno pointing the torch towards a small light.

We walked out the temple to see the wagon.

"DID YOU GET IT??!!" Asked Jack, I held up the book.

"YUP!!" I said.

"WHOOO!!" Said Ranboo. We made it back into the wagon.

"We need to enchant you armor first" said niki. We nodded and handed her the books.

"Can I get your armor please?" Asked niki, Ranboo and Jack nodded and took off the armor.

Niki opened both books and placed them down. She opened the book and read the text. We had no idea what she was saying but the armor started to glow, which we assumed was a sign that it was working. She stopped suddenly.

"There" said niki closing the books as they turned into dust in her hands and drifted off into the wind.

"Put this on" said techno they both nodded and slipped the armor on.

"Are we going to test it-" asked Ranboo, tubbo poured a bottle of water on them.

"WHAT TH-.... it didn't hurt. IT WORKED!!" Said Jack practically jumping up and down.

"Well then, I guess that concludes this journey, we should camp here for the night, set up you beds. We leave at dawn." Said techno, I looked to the sky to see the sun still fairly high but darkness was coming.

We set up our tents. We each had tents, Jack, Niki and Ranboo slept in the wagon. Techno stood in guard and him and Wilbur switched positions every now and then to keep the rest of us safe. Tubbo, Tommy and I had a tent.

We made a fire for the cold desert night. Wilbur brought out his guitar, and played a soft little tune.

I hummed along to the melody, and so did Tommy. Everyone had already fallen asleep except for Wilbur, Me, Tommy, and techno.

We sat by the fire as Fiona sat on my lap soundly asleep.

"I should get some sleep" said Wilbur me and Tommy nodded. We decided to stay by the fire, and watch as the sun set.

"Shouldn't you two be asleep, we've got a big day ahead of us" said techno. I looked at Tommy, he nodded.

"Yeah we should get some sleep" said Tommy, I nodded and head to my tent with Fiona in my arms.

"Good night Toms" i said heading to my tent.

TOMMYS POV

Y/n had head to her tent.

"Good night Toms" she said before heading into her tent. Techno looked at me.

"Toms?" He asked sitting down at the fire with me.

"Fvck off" I said, techno chuckled.

"She's a special one, I'm glad you chose her for this trip" said techno, I sighed.

"I agree" I said watching as the sun completely was covered and the sky was engulfed by the night.

I started to doze off. I heard a soft voice and a rattling come into my tent I looked up to see Tommy.

"Toms?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

"Sorry for waking up, I just didn't want to be left alone" said Tommy. I chuckled and patted the space next to me.

"Don't be a pussy, here lay here" I said. Tommy glared at me.

"I am not a pussy but thank you" said Tommy sarcastically while laying down next to me.
