29: For Jack

Hey guys I apologize for not posting a lot yesterday. I decided instead to plan out each chapter so I don't have to improvise it. But I promise much more will come out when I finished the ruff draft.

Techno made his way to the water monument. I nuzzled my head into Tommy's neck. It was still hard to take in all that had happened. I fell asleep with Tommy.

The next morning my eyes were sore and burned from the night of crying before. Tommy was already awake. He saw that I was awake and quickly kissed my forehead. I realized it had stopped raining. But the air was still humid.

"How are you feeling?" He asked I rubbed my eyes.

"A bit better" I said. Tommy squeezed me into a hug. It comforted me but I couldn't help but be sad.

Tommy handed me a plate of rations. I ate them up, I was hungry this time. I was still very tired and started to doze off.

Just then I heard a small explosion and the cart start to topple. I jerked my head up to see Tommy grabbing Fiona and me and jumping out the cart as quick as he could.

"WHAT HAPPENED!!" Yelled Ranboo. He had both Niki and tubbo in his arms.

"Creeper" said techno. I could smell the gun powder. I went over to the side of the wagon. If Tommy hadn't had grabbed me we would have been injured.

"Well fvck what are we going to do now. We can't use the wagon" said tubbo.

"We will have to set camp here, I'll see if I can find a nearby village and get horses we can ride on. For now we have 2 horses which mean 4 people can ride on them." Techno said grabbing his sword. We nodded. Techno left into the forest while we set up a fire and tried to salvage as much goods as we could.

"How does this keep getting worse and worse" said niki holding her bandages arm. Ranboo sat next to her comforting her.

"Hey it's ok, he would have wanted us to keep moving on" said Ranboo putting a hand on Niki. She sent him a small smile.

"Thanks Ranboo" said niki wiping her eye with her hand.

I sat making the fire and Tommy had Fiona in his lap. We were all silent. Until tubbo broke the silence.

"Hey I know everyone is really sad right now but we can do this" said tubbo. I picked up my head.

"Tubbos right" I said standing up.

"We will do this" I said putting my hand out.

"For Jack" said niki putting her arm out.

"For Jack" said Tommy joining us. We all joined in to honor Jack.

Just then the sun had already gone down. We heard a rustle I readied my bow. Techno popped out with 2 horses.

"We ride tomorrow morning, get your rest" said techno tying up the horses to the others. We nodded.

We settled around the small campfire. I leaned my head to Tommy. Wilbur played a small tune on his guitar. It kept us entertained and was a sweet soft melody.

Tommy held me close to him. Everyone was about sleep besides Wilbur and techno. It was cold but Tommy's embrace and warm feathers helped it though.

In the morning I woke up to Tommy shaking me a bit.

"Wake up we are leaving, you hungry?" Asked Tommy holding out a plate of food. I shook my head.

"No thank you, is everyone ready already?" I asked pushing away the plate of food. Tommy nodded.

"Yup they are waiting for us" said Tommy I nodded and he let out his hand to help me up.

"Good morning Y/n" said Ranboo. Tubbo was sat behind him, fast asleep.

Techno rode a horse by himself. But he carried most of the luggage. Wilbur rode with Niki, and I rode with Tommy.

I climbed on to my horse behind Tommy. I looked up the sun beating on my skin and looked behind me to see the blown up wagon and smoke that admitted from the pit out campfire.

I wrapped my arms around Tommy waist. I was still very tired. I nuzzled my face into his wings. I felt weak and sleepy. I started to drift off. I fell asleep behind Tommy as we rode towards the monument.

I looked behind me to see Y/n fast asleep. She had her face against my wings. I could hear her softly breathing. I smiled to myself and carried on.

We had been riding for about 2 hours now. The horses were galloping at as fast as they could. I could tell they were growing tired. But techno insisted on moving forward.

"Techno how much longer I don't think the horses can take it anymore" I said. Techno nodded.

"Just a bit further" said techno. Wilbur sighed.

"Where are we even going-" Wilbur was cut off my techno pointing to a village that just came into sight.

"We will stay there" said techno. We nodded and galloped towards the village.

We stopped at the village. I woke up Y/n.

"Y/n wake up" I said. She groaned and hugged me tighter. I chuckled.

"Wake up we are at a stop" I said. She opened her eyes and sat up straight rubbing her eyes.

"Okayyy" she said sluggishly.

Techno went off to put the horses in a local stable. I helped Y/n get off the horse and we made our way to a bench.

"Should we rent a one night motel?" Asked tubbo. Niki nodded.

"Yes we should rent it out while we wait for techno" said Ranboo. We made our way to a local motel.

We rented only 2 rooms, we were short on money so we had to find a way to save as much as we could. Me, Y/n, Tubbo, and Ranboo shared one room. And the rest shared another.

I made my way into the room.

"Who's sleeping where?" Asked tubbo.

The bed was enough for 3 people to sleep, but someone would have to sleep on the floor.

"I call the bed" said Y/n plopping on the bed. We laughed.

"I can sleep on the floor" said Ranboo. I had no idea how he even slept on a bed. He was about 9 feet tall.

"I- ok if you want" said tubbo.

"So that mean Y/n, Tubbo, and me will sleep on the bed, you ok with this?" I asked. Everyone nodded.

"We should get cleaned up" Y/n said lifting her head from the bed.

"Agreed" said Ranboo. Tubbo sniffed his armpit and made a face of disgust.

"I'm taking a shower first" said tubbo, we chuckled.
