"The brownies are cooled now you can eat them!" Ella placed the brownies in front of Cyryll.
"They look yummy!" Cyryll chuckled. "Oh! Before I forget, I have gifts for all of you!"
"Really?!" Akira sounded excited.
"Let me just get it from my car." We stood up to get the gifts.
He open the trunk to get the gifts.
"Love?" Cyryll asked while carrying five paper bags.
"Why? Something wrong?"
"Our schedule has been moved, I have to leave later. Is it okay?" He asked, concern.
"Umm...yeah it's not a big deal, you have a family of your own." I lied, I wanted him to stay with me... but he has a family of his own.
"Okay then." He sigh.
__FEW HOURS LATER__
"Take care!" I hugged him from behind. We were standing in the middle of the garage, he was ready to leave now.
"You too! Goodbye auntie!" He bid goodbye for me and Ella, Arika left early to meet someone.
"I love you!" I shouted as he entered the car.
"LOVE YOU MORE!" He shouted back.
We went inside and the house feels empty. Akira and Cyryll aren't here anymore, just me and Ella.
"Cyryll is a kind boy." Ella spoke out of nowhere.
"Huh?"
"He's a keeper, Akeelah. He's very nice and generous. Don't lose him." She smiled and held my cheeks.
"Yeah...he is!"
__FEW DAYS LATER__
Days passed and I've missed him so much even if we do face time and calls. It's still very different when I have his presence around me. It's very new to me.
I'm already back in Manila. I'm on my way to meet them. Diane, Alice and I decided to meet at a coffee shop near my condo.
I went inside the coffee shop and saw Alice waving his hands. I sat beside Diane. I'm happy to see Diane smiling again.
"We already ordered food. So who your vacation?" Alice asked, excited.
"We just stayed in my grandparents house...no big deal." Diane chuckled. "How 'bout you, Akeelah?"
"I went to home to my family in Pampanga, Cyryll stayed there just for a night." I sigh, knowing that I miss him. "What about you?"
"We went to Boracay just for five days. Mom has a partnership with the resort, my days where just full of strolling on the beach, mom didn't allow us to do anything." She smiled bitterly. "Anyways let's change the topic! I have something to ask about you." she pointed at Diane.
"What?"
"My cousin told me about you visiting the engineering building? I thought you we're a Mascom student?, are you seeing someone?" Alice teased.
"No!" Diane quickly denied. "My friend told me he needed to borrow something from me."
"So who's 'he'?" I accused.
"He is just a friend, he's an engineering student and he needed something from me!" she explained, panicking.
"Okay whatever you say, miss." Alice sarcastically said.
"Good day, miss! I think these are for you." I was shocked went Cyryll suddenly appeared in front of me holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Love!" I jumped out of my seat and hugged him tight. I missed him, he smelled fresh from LA.
