"hey Akee-" my words were cut from what I saw. Preston? What is he doing here?
I woke up when someone tapped my shoulders and I look up to see and I saw Preston standing in front of me.
"hey?" Preston asked.
"I'm sorry I'm late I completely forgot about this" he added.
"it's okay, shall we order?" I asked.
"sure" he answered shortly and called the waiter to order our food.
"what do you want?" he asked, giving me the menu.
"just pasta and iced tea and for dessert I will have a blueberry cheesecake" I answered, returning the menu to the waiter.
"and I will have the same thing she ordered" Preston answered.
"what course did you picked" I asked and smiled.
"I'm at my 2nd year in business management, how about you?" he replied.
"it's my 1st year in law" I answered.
"I heard many things about you and your friends, it was Akeelah and that boy right?, what's his name again?" he asked.
"his name was Cyryll" I answered and smiled. Even though I just met Preston, I'm very comfortable talking to him.
"what course are they in?" he asked.
"actually all of us are studying law" I answered and noticed that my phone is vibrating like crazy. Akeelah is calling me.
"our food is here" Preston said placing the food in the table while I answered the phone call.
"excuse me for a moment but I have to answer this call" I said, stand up and walk away to have some privacy.
"Akeelah? What happened?" asked with confusion.
"the footage has been stolen!" she answered.
"what? How?" I asked still confused about what's happening.
"someone stole the footage from principal's office, I already called Cyryll and his on the way here" she said. I could feel how angry Akeelah is right now. How could anyone stole something from the principal?
"okay, I'll be there in a moment" I said and ended our phone call. I walked towards our table to grab my bag and leave.
"wait! Where are you going?" I heard Preston asked and grabbed my arm.
"there is an emergency at the school, I have to go" I said and removed his hands off my arm.
"in the weekend?" he asked.
"look I don't want to explain I need to get there fast!" I said raising my voice.
"okay fine, I'll drop you there!" he said firmly and grabbed my arm to his car and started the engine.
__few minutes later__
Alice's pov
I arrived at the school and ran inside to find Akeelah. I saw them standing outside the principal's office with the principal's office.
"hey I'm here" I said causing them all to look at me.
"what's the problem?" I added.
"the footage got stolen" the principal said.
"then why don't we check the CCTV footage again?" I said.
"Miss Montefalco and I had already talked about this, we can't let any one know about the stealing case of Mr. Velasquez. It may ruin the school's reputation and also Mr. Velasquez's company" the principal said firmly, rubbing his nape because of the situation.
"excuse me? Who are you?" Cyryll asked making us look at Preston.
"wtf?! Why did you fallow me?" I asked looking at Preston.
"first of all I didn't know that something is happening here and I just want to make sure you where safe" he answered.
"just make sure you won't spread any news that you heard from us or else!" the principal said.
"Akeelah I just want to remind you that I couldn't help you with this because it may ruin my reputation, I just hope no one would know about this and please make sure you would find the evidence in this case. I can't help with this but I wish you all good luck, we don't know who is behind this" the principal said and left.
"shit!" Akeelah shouted and sat on the floor.
"this going to be fine" I said and patted Akeelah's shoulders.
"hey Cyryll? didn't you said that you where the one who got the CCTV footage?" I asked looking at Cyryll.
"yes, what about it?" he asked, crossing his arms.
"where did you got it?" I asked.
"umm..." he couldn't speak and just looked down.
"just fucking tell me!" I shouted, making them gasped.
"m-my family has a secret investigator and one of them knows how to hack a CCTV" he answered.
"then where is he or she?" Akeelah asked and stand up.
"I don't know, but there is a place we meet up recently" he answered.
"where is that place I could bring you there" I heard Preston said, making us look at him.
__few minutes later__
Akeelah's pov
We arrived at the place. This place is very quiet.
"hey Lincoln!" Cyryll shouted.
"what do you want?!" he boy shouted back, walking towards us with a glass of wine on his hands.
"I need another favor from you" Cyryll replied.
"btw this is my friend Lincoln Adonis Sarmiento, you can call him Lincoln. He's the best hacker I know"
"stop with non-sense Cyryll, is she the girl you've been talking about? " Lincoln asked looking at me.
"is she your girlfriend?" Lincoln asked , making me blush.
"not yet but soon" Cyryll said and smirked.
"btw this is Akeelah and that is Alice" Cyryll added.
"and who is that man beside you?" Lincoln asked.
"btw I'm Preston Miles Ramirez, you can call me Preston" my eyes widen when the boy introduced himself but I just kept quiet.
