chapter 11: falling for you

[sweetie?] Ella muttered on the other side of the phone.

"yes?"

[we have to move back to Pampanga]

"what?" I panicked, "why? Okay I'm on the way"

Why is the world against me! I hate my fucking life. I almost slammed my phone because of anger. I looked at Cyryll who is very confused about what is happening.

"what's wrong?" he asked, his eyes still on the road.

"my step mom said we have to move back to Pampanga" I said calming myself.

"then what about your studies? Your life here?"

"LOOK! DON'T FUCKING KNOW!" I shouted.

"calm down will you?!" he said trying to calm me down.

"everything will be alright!" he added and wiped my tears off.

"I j-just can't help thinking way! S-somehow the w-world is like against me!"

"then stop overthinking, it will just lead you to nowhere"

"your right, I should stop this nonsense"

Few minutes had passed and we have arrived at my house I saw my sister on the phone calling someone. I know they are stressed about this.

"Akira!" I shouted and opened the car door. She hugged me tight.

"what happened?" I asked.

"we need to move back to Pampanga"

"but why?"

"Ella will explain it later but who's that?"

"my name is Cyryll, I'm courting Akeelah" he said calmly, without even thinking what he's talking about.

"oh! Why didn't you tell me?" my sister asked me.

"umm...c-can we talk about this l-later?"

"okay sure" my sister agreed. "dad! Akeelah's here!" my sister shouted. As we entered the living room I saw dad standing beside the stairs and Ella sitting on the couch

"sweetie!" Ella walked towards me to give me a warm hug. "are you alright?" she asked.

"yeah I'm fine but can you just tell what's happening right now?"

"we need to go back to Pampanga because our business is going down if we don't go back there. I need to handle the business on my own, the staff are leaving because of the low salary there getting" dad said while sitting at the couch facing us.

"how did all of this all happened?" I panicked.

"that's why were going back to Pampanga, to fit out" Ella muttered.

"what about my studies here? I can't just leave them!" I replied.

"it's your choice if you want to stay" my sister answered.

"but if you stay here you won't have a place!" Ella replied. "were are going to sell the house to start the business again"

"excuse me sir! I'm sorry to interrupt but-"

"excuse me who are you?" Ella tried to asked politely.

"my name is Cyryll s-sir and m-ma'am, I'm Akeelah's friend-"

"and dad he's courting Akeelah" my sister whispered at my dad.

"sorry please continue" my dad glared at my sister and Ella. Gosh! This is going to be a long night!

"as I was saying umm...Akeelah can also stay in a condo, I-if that's okay with you and if that's okay with Akeelah" Cyryll replied, nervously.

"he has a point hon, Akeelah can stay in a condo and study at New Era while we fix our business in Pampanga" Ella added.

"okay your sister can help you find a condo with you tomorrow, so we could speed up the process" my dad replied.

"thanks dad!" I ran and gave him a hug.

"so can you tell me more about that guy?!" dad whispered on ear and I heard him chuckle.

"dad!" I squealed.

"come on just introduced him to us" I heard dad chuckle.

"It's already late dad, Cyryll is heading home now right?" I looked at Cyryll, signaling him to just go with the flow.

"actually it's not that late yet, I could still stay here for a while" he replied. Gosh! This guy is giving me headaches.

"no it's already late now go ho-"

"perfect! I already made dinner so come and join us!" I was cut off when Ella pulled Cyryll to the dining room.

"so how long did you knew Akeelah?" my dad asked and walked towards the table.

I glared at both of them signaling them to stop. I was Cyryll's face,he wasn't really annoyed at the both of them but I guess he's getting along pretty well.

"actually I'm also studying legal management at New Era and I met Akeelah as one of the top student" he replied.

I was standing in front of the table where Cryll, Ella and dad are sitting. "I think they are getting along fine, you should be happy!" Akira whispered from behind.

"don't be rude Akeelah go sit down!" dad pointed out the chair beside Cyryll. I sat beside Cyryll and glanced at him, I saw him with a wide smile, makes my heart melt!

"dad! Look at Akeelah! I think she's falling in love!" my sister teased. After I just realized I was staring at Cyryll for to long.

We finished eating and Akira help me wash the dishes. Cyryll and dad was felt on the living just talking about stuff.

"so how are you and my daughter are doing?" I heard my dad asked as I entered the living room.

"dad that's enough, Cyryll has to go now it's already late!" I warned my dad and pulled Cyryll out of the couch.

"I think we should get going now sir! Bye!" Cyryll waved his hands good bye. And we walked out the house.

As we walked out the house I can see Cyryll's smile so wide. I think he's enjoying this little part of life!

"thank you for today Cy!" I muttered from behind "for everything! You always got my back!"

He just shrugged and hugged me!

"any for you! I will always be here for you Akeelah, I'm happy when your happy!" he creased my hair and faced me. He creased my face while looking at my lips, he looked up to me eyes again and kissed my forehead. I could feel butterflies in my stomach and it's like the world is going slow-mo, I can't understand what I'm feeling right now, the only thing I know is that I'm happy when I'm with him and nothing less, I know I just met him but it feels like I'm loving this man for a long time!
