chapter 9: flowers

"btw I'm Preston Miles Ramirez, you can call me Preston" my eyes widen when the boy introduced himself but I just kept quiet.

"Okay no one cares who you are, so you better shut up!" Cyryll answered and glared at Preston. 

"Cyryll stop being rude to Preston!" Alice yelled at Cyryll with anger in his eyes.

"Why do I always get blame?...huh?"Cyryll replied and glaring at Alice and Preston, wanting to start a fight.

"If someone gets report or gets leak it's all that man's fault!" Cyryll added.

"Guys stop this nonsense!" I yelled, making them stop.

"If you want fight find somewhere else to do that!" I added.

 "I know all of you are tried and frustrated about this...but can you just please shut up!" I said, calming myself.

Silence was all around the room, no one tried to break it. So I decided to break it again since I'm fed up with this nonsense.

"Lincoln!" I said, calmly.

 "Can you still help us?" I asked.

"Sure but I still need another plan to do it since the footage may be stolen again and it's hard to hack the system of your school since it's very secured" he replied."But I can make it a plan, but I need a lot of time to do it, maybe by the end of the week I can give it to you" he added.

"So how much does it cost?" Cyryll asked.

"It's free for you guys and also I wanted to help you since you school had always some dirty secrets" Lincoln added and winked.

"Thanks a lot Lincoln!" I said, giving him a bright smile.

_the day after_

Cyryll's pov

Akeelah asked me to come to the grocery store with her since she wants me to accompany her. And I didn't hesitate to come.I just remembered that I already stopped at her house to pick her up.

"Hey Akeelah!" I shouted and opened the door for her."You alright?" I asked, while she's putting on her seatbelt.

"I'm fine" she replied coldly.

I looked at her serious face and explained "Look I'm very sorry about yesterday, I just got frustrated" I said and started the engine.

"I know all of you have been frustrated, I should've been more careful about communicating with the principal" she replied.

"Look I bought you flowers" I said with a cheeky smile and pulled out the flowers from the backseat. I bought flowers before I drove  here, to make-up with what I did yesterday, I just  don't  feel comfortable with that new guy, PRESTON!

"Thanks for this I really appreciate this small kinds of effort" she said and smile.

I look away, looking at the road when I felt someone's lips kissed my cheeks. I blushed at Akeelah sudden action. 

"I like the flowers! it looks very beautiful!" she smiled.

"and so are you!" I whispered enough, so she won't hear. And diverted my eyes at the road.

"I heard that!" she looked at me and smirked. I just chuckled by her actions.

"Why the h*ck does she makes me feel this way" I though to myself. There is somethings special about her that I  can't see trough other girls. Maybe because she is just very simple and understanding and that makes me fall for her over and over again.

_few minutes later_

We arrived at the grocery store and Akeelah already went inside to buy some things she needs. And I just stayed outside, knowing she won't stay longer there. She just  told me she's  gonna be quick since she just looking for something

Meanwhile I can't stop thinking about what happened earlier, her actions was just cute, it makes me blush  HAHA!!

"SHIT!" I heard someone cursed, so I looked around to see and I saw a guy carrying loads of grocery bags.

"Hey do you need help?" I asked and ran towards gim.

"yeah! I can't open my trunk" he replied and I just nodded.

I help her put the groceries inside the trunk of  his car. He was wearing a doctors coat, I suspect he's a doctor.

"thanks bro!..."

"do you want any favor? I can treat you?" I just shrugged my head as an answer.

"btw I'm Primo and you?" he said handing out his hand.

"Cyryll" I replied grabbed his hand to do a handshake.

He already had put the grocery on her trunk and drove off and I just realized why Akeelah's not here yet. I rushed inside a saw her on the cashier paying for the things she bought.

_few hours later_

It's night time already, I already dropped Akeelah on her house, BUT GOD! I can't stop thinking about what happened earlier. I felt some butterflies in my stomach. It's time to go to sleep but she keeps poppin' on my mind!!!
