Akeelah's pov
I'm Akeelah Maze Montefalco, 19 year's old. I'm not one of those special girl who always have a pretty lavish lifestyle and a perfect family. For my chase, I'm just an ordinary girl. My mom died a long time ago and my dad married another woman but still manage to support me and my older sister Akira.
Before mom died she always reminds me that "EDUCATION IS ALWAYS THE KEY TO SUCCESS" and I always believe in that. Even though I'm just an ordinary girl who wants change in the world I still believes that I can make a change in this economy but my question is HOW?!
__FEW WEEKS LATER__
It's my first day here at NE university, short for NEW ERA UNIVERSITY. It's the best school here in the country because of the high rankings and high standards but there is something that bothers me the most. Some people say that this school is like living hell, and some say it's the best school for us kids who has an intelligent mindset. If you ask me, I still don't know the answer for that question. But I hope I can make the best changes for this school even though I'm just a student.
In the next chapter of my journey I want to change what lies behind the school gates for me!!!
