Akeelah's pov
"After class, where are you going?" Cyryll asked, while walking.
"I still have to meet Sir Valencia and the broad about the case."
"Okay then, Good luck!" he kissed my cheeks then left.
"I hate being single!" Alice sounded annoyed walking from behind us.
"What about Preston? Don't you like him?" I asked one after another.
She just faked smiled and laughed. I know his hiding something, just don't want to tell anyone.
"Oh shit! I have to go!" I panicked when a saw it was almost 5pm. I ran towards the main building at the 3rd floor to meet the school head so we can talk about the case.
"Miss Montefalco!" I heard Sir Valencia called.
"Good afternoon sir!" I bowed.
"The meeting will start soon, I hope your ready"
"Yes sir!"
The meeting will start soon and all the school head are entering the office, I saw Panganiban enter the room, he sat at the end of the table, and they started discussing about the financial, projects and more.
"Excuse me everyone" Sir Valencia stood up. "I wanted to discuss something to you all, it's about the son of Mr. Velasquez"
"And what is that all about?" Sir Panganiban asked, not having interest at the topic.
"I brought my student here to discuss this matter, she is one of the best students here in NE"
"umm.....Good afternoon to you all, I want to report Mr. Velasquez, I have noticed he stole the founds from the new era's day. And some of the items and money were reportedly missing" I stood up and discussed the matter.
"And why do you think Mr. Velasquez would do such stuff, he is one the son of the richest persons here in the Philippines, your just accusing someone, without even any evidence!" Sir Panganiban called out. My blood boils seeing that man, he is not even respecting my point of view or even letting me finish.
"With all do respect sir I have an evidence, and that why I wanted to discuss this matter to all of you!" I stated out load. "Would you allow to ruin the school's reputation just because of this small case that we can't handle?"
"How much more if we are going to handle a bigger case?" I added.
"The kid is right, Mr. Panganiban, we should take actions to this kind of small stuff that could ruin the reputation of the school, we don't want to ruin it especially if we're one of the best schools in Manila!" one of the broad stood up.
"I agree, this kid has a point, Mr. Panganiban." One of the head agreed also, he was sitting in the center so which means....he has a high rank.
"But Sir Alcantara, if we get Mr. Velasquez's son out of this school, we could lose our connection to the Velasquez group of company!" Mr. Panganiban debated. So the man sitting on the center is Mr. Alcantara the owner of the school.
"We can manage without them, my point is I'm not letting this matter pass by, it could ruin the school's reputation!" Mr. Alcantara stated.
"before we take any measures, I want to see the evidence, what your name btw?" Mr. Alcantara asked.
"My name is Akeelah Maze Montefalco" I bowed and took out the flash drive from my purse. And play it on the laptop to show them. They observed the footage and some of the head was shocked by Corey's sudden actions.
" Okay this matter will me taken actions, we will start the process next week!" Mr. Alcantara stated out before leaving "Oh btw the way Ms. Montefalco, Great job! I hope to see you soon!" he greeted and left. I took a deep breath and sigh, I was happy this turned out pretty well!
__few hours later__
"OMG! I can't believe Mr. Alcantara told that to you!" Alice squealed while drinking his juice. We're having a movie night to celebrate because the meeting went well.
"Let's not talk about that" I smiled casually "Anyway what about Diane? Does she even have plans to file a case against Mr. Panganiban?"
"I already asked her...but she told me she doesn't want to make the issue bigger, especially that Mr. Panganiban is one of the school head!" she exclaimed.
"If she is not going to speak about it, then how can justice be served?!"
"That's the problem!" she replied. "She doesn't even have a plan to tell it to her parents!" she complains again.
I sigh and rested my head on the coach, next month is already Christmas break, I'm planning to visit my family in Pampanga, but I'm still worried if the case won't be solved until Christmas. I don't want to stress myself up but I want to help Diane!
__THE NEXT DAY__
"Okay class dismissed!" our prof said and left the room.
"You look stressed my love!" I felt someone's hand touch mine, Cyryll laughed on our way out of the classroom.
"of course! It's almost exam day!" I didn't bother to look at him.
"You wanna go out?" he held me chin to face him.
"It's almost exam day and you still want to have a date?!" I furrowed.
"Then let's just buy food and eat it in your condo" he suggested.
"K fine!"
__few hours later__
"You now you should try this!" his said while chewing on his pizza.
"Later! I'm still busy!"
"Your busy about what? your not even studying for the exam!" his brows furrowed, accusing me. "let me see that!" he snatched the laptop from me.
"Sexual harassment?" he raised a brow. "Alice told me you wanted to help the cheerleader because she was harassed, right?"
"Yes!" I sigh.
"Why?"
I smiled bitterly and faced him "cause a wise person told me, if you have a voice, use it! If you see injustice, tell it!"
