Akeelah's pov
"Okay class this will be your last exam for this year, I hope you will have a great holiday!" our prof smiled, knowing this is the last week for us this year since we will resume on January "See you soon!"
"OMG!" Alice hugged my back. "I'm so excited! Oh...wait, aren't you going?"
"huh?...ah! right! After class, of-course" I stood up to grabbed my bag. I forgot, after class the whole school will celebrate for the early Christmas since we can't celebrate together, later night there will be a lot of people and students here to celebrate and when it's time there to will be fireworks in the sky, it's my second time watching fireworks with Cyryll but this time, were now together!
I hope this won't be the last time.
__FEW HOURS LATER__
I was preparing to leave, I was just wearing a white off-shoulder top and a pair of high-waisted jeans, topped with white sneakers. I grabbed my bag and went outside. Cyryll already texted me he will pick me up.
I went outside and saw Cyryll playing with the car keys on his fingers, he was just wearijng a simple T with jeans. "You look nice!" he complimented.
"Quit staring! Let's go!" I rolled my eyes then followed him to the parking lot.
__FEW MINUTES LATER__
"Hey, love?" he stared at me for a moment then turn his head to the road.
"Yeah?" I scrolled trough my phone.
"Where are you planning to go this Christmas?" he was still focusing on the road.
"Probably go to Pampanga to celebrate with my family, how about you?"
"Mom wanted us to spend the holidays at LA" he shook his head.
"Well that's nice!" I gave him a thumbs up and smiled.
"B-but...I would miss you" he pouted.
"Just facetime me if you already arrived and if you're bored."
"Okay." He started at me for a moment then held my hand.
__FEW HOURS LATER__
"GOD! What took you so long?" I heard Alice complain from afar. "Did you guys had a make out session or what?" she teased.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!" I tried to hit her arm.
"Just kidding!" she laughed.
"Okay, that's enough" Cyryll tried to pulled me away from her. He just laughed and pulled me to the bench side.
"You want to eat?" I stood up but he pulled me again to sit right beside him.
"Let's just stay here for a while" he stared at me for a while then rested his head on me shoulders.
"I don't want to leave you here" he whined and held me hands.
"But you can always call me" I tried to look away, trying not to blush. Why is he being clingy at this time?
"I love you!" he tightened the grip of our hands. I was a bit surprised. He sat still and stared at me for a moment.
I couldn't contain my smile and just stared at him for a moment. I cupped his face with my hand while looking at his lips. I closed my eyes when both of our lips touched, we stayed for a while. "I love you too"
"Yah! why did- OMG" we heard Alice so we let go from embarrassment. "I think I should just go...um, bye!"
"Well that was..." he leaned against the bench and crossed his arms above his chest. "Nice!"
"What?"
"ah...noting, do you want food?" he tried to hide his smile.
"Yeah let's get food" I stood up and followed him.

Cyryll's pov
I want to spend every minute with Akeelah today, I will always miss his presence near me. I've been so clingy ever since this week knowing that mom wants us to spend the holiday at LA, I'm not really close to my family just my older sister. Akeelah and my sister always has the same personality and they are the only one I trust the most... I can't really open up to my parents since their so busy and if ever I talk to them it would just leave us fighting.
"Are you even listening?" Akeelah snapped her fingers in front of me, I was zoning out.
"Uh? Y-yeah!"
"Anyways let's finish our food, we will be late for the fireworks later!" she said while taking a big spoonful of ice cream. "AGH! B-brain freeze!"
"Slow down!" I laughed while wiping her face. "Don't rush just take it slow!"
She nodded and pulled me to the field, there was a lot of people already!
"Let's find Alice!" she pushed trough the crowd.
I pulled her close to me making her stop. "Alice is fine without us! Beside she will just be a thirdwheel if you call her"
"Fine then!" she nodded her head then crossed her arms above her chest.
"My grumpy baby..." I whispered.
"Your what?" She raised a brow.
"Nothing, love!" I patted her head. She leaned against on my shoulder when the fireworks started exploding in sky.
"I'm happy to be with you today, love" I whispered while staring at the fireworks on the sky, putting my arms on her shoulders.
"me too!" She replied, putting her arms on my waist.
"I love you"
"I love you"
We said the same thing and both chuckled at the same time, seeing her happy with me is already enough for me! She's everything I could ever ask for, my love!
I saw staring at her, not minding about the fire works, I could see the reflections of the fireworks on her eyes. I cupped my hands on her face to kiss her again, she was shocked at first but I could feel her smiling. I let go of her and just stared at her for a while.
I wish we would stay just like this...forever
