When Akeelah left, I all I could think of is hatred, I hated my parents for treating her like that. She only wanted what was good for everyone. My knees were shaking, I sat on the ground crying, I didn't care less, I didn't care about anyone at that moment. All I ever thought was Akeelah, she's hurting...
Was is that too easy to leave me?
I didn't wanted to blame Akeelah, I know she is going through a lot, I know she cries at night. I cried on the ground... Still hoping for Akeelah to come back.
I automatically flinched when I heard a honk, it was my sister's white sports car in front of me.
She ran towards me with confusion on her face. "What happened here?! Why are you crying?!" Her brows furrowed, helping me to get up.
"She left me! It's all mom's fault!" I yelled while crying. I got up.
"What?! Who?!" She raised her brows and grabbed my arm.
"Mom! She asked for me and Akeelah to have a dinner with her but instead, she arrange a fucking marriage to me and one of her business partners' daughter! I'm fed up with her! Akeelah left, she broke up with me..." My voice broke, tears stream down on my cheeks. My sister's face softened, she looked, worried.
She pulled me inside the house, I could feel her anger rise. Mom was still talking to her business p artner at the dinning area, when my sister slammed the table. Making everyone stare.
"Mom! What the fuck are you doing?!" She raised her voice, her face was full of anger.
"Celine!" Mom stood up. "How dare you shout at me! And in front of our guests?!" She raised her brow.
"And how dare you to make decisions for Cyryll!" My sister fired back.
"Celine, She is no good for Cyryll!" She tired to calm herself.
"And who are you to say that?!"Celine looked at her with disgust.
"I'm his mother!" Mom couldn't hold back and shouted.
"Then try to act one!" She shouted. "Because right now? Your are acting like a damn kid!"
"Celine, don't test me!" She tightened the grip on the table. "Remember... You're still in standing on my house." She added.
"Excuse us, Mrs. Alcantara, we don't want to hear your family quarrel. We're talking about the
engagement soon." Mr. Chan said. The guest stood up and left
_Few hours later_
Dad arrived and talked to me about it, he said I still have to do it even if Akeelah didn't came in my life. I didn't want to! I don't want to to marry a girl that I don't love...
My sister tired to flight for me but she just got dump founded. The wedding is already arranged in a weeks after my graduation. My parents locked me in my room, because I might run away, I didn't ate, I didn't talked to anyone for the last few days. I just cried until I fell asleep, I got tired...
Repeating everything day by day. Hoping my tears would bring back Akeelah to me.
_Few days later_
It's my graduation ceremony, I felt empty, knowing something's missing, or maybe someone. I went down stairs, emotionless.
Zianna and her parents were already there, talking to my parents. My sister wasn't her because she still has work. My mom pulled me beside Zianna, I just rolled my eyes.
"You know?! You're lucky to have me as your wife," she whispered in my ear, chuckling.
I just stared at her with colid eyes, I want to hurt her. "A delusional bitch," I whispered and looked away, bored.w
My dad called us in to ride the car and go to the school. Zianna tired to keep up with my steps. She was struggling with her heels, I didn't bother to help.
"Excuse me who are you calling 'delusional bitch'?!" She pulled my arm to face her.
"You?" I said, raising my brow. She gritted her teeth and looked at me intensely. I just pulled the car door and entered, I sat on the chair and closed my eyes...
Akeelah I want you back...
__FEW HOURS LATER__
Akeelah went up the stage and gave her speech. I'm so proud of her.
I took out my phone to take a picture of her to post on my story.
"I was looking at Akeelah and her friends, they looked so happy I wanted to be with her also...
Zianna was still holding my had, I felt disgust, I removed my hand from her and walked towards Akeelah to congratulate her."
"You too, Congrats!" she smiled.
Zianna showed out of nowhere. "Hi! Akeelah, right? I'm Zianna, Cy's fiance" It made me want to throw up
"Zianna, I think they're looking for us already."
__FEW DAYS LATER__
I got my keys and drove off to my sister's office. I got out of my car and went to the building.
I opened the door to her office to see her talking on the phone with someone while looking at some files. I sat on the couch and our eyes met, she ended the call.
"You called because?" I raised a brow.
"Well..." she smirked and sat on her swivel chair. "Mr. Chan is going bankrupt,"
"Isn't that the reason why mom wants me to marry Zianna?" It made me more confused.
"Yes, but because the police already investigated them, they discovered they are selling illegal products from Taiwan." She said, casually. "So if mom would just let you marry Mr. Chan's daughter there would be possibilities that police would might investigate about our family too and would discover about the school."
"How did you know police investigated them?"
"I know my way around politics," She chuckled and rested her back on her chair.
"Don't worry I talked to dad about it already," She added. I looked away and bit my lip, even if my engagement is canceled I still have to fly to Florida in half a month.
