--- Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death".
It does mean you will die the moment you sin, it foreshadows and gives us a hint that this song can make us miss eternal life.
The bible talks about this eternal life saying that there shall be "a new heaven and a new earth". (Revelation 21:1), the garden of Eden I to be restored more gloriously adorned than at the beginning. Then they that have kept God's commandments shall breathe in immortal vigor beneath the tree of life; and through unending ages the inhabitants of sinless worlds shall behold, in that garden of delight, a sample of the perfect work of God's creation, untouched by the curse of sin. Trust me, working towards glorifying God and gaining eternal life is the best you can do for yourself. If you don't want to miss it, 'TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS'. 'SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD!'

The Son of God has offered to stone, with His Own life, for our transactions(Our sin) and through repentanceand faith in Christ we might again become the Children of God. The death of Christ for man's redemption proves that God's law is changeless; that God is righteous, merciful, and self-denying and that infinite justice and mercy unite in the administration of His government.

You must learn of Christ who is meek and lowly in heart without whom there is no eternal life.
